The projector was still set up when the students entered the room.

"Good afternoon," Lorelai said after everyone had entered and was seated. "Today we're going to learn about a very popular genre of hour long television dramas, the police procedurals, legal dramas and other police and crime shows that are prevelant in the prime time lineup in recent years."

After a lecture on how those shows work and the history behind them, Lorelai turned off the lights and started the projector to show clips from some of the more popular shows.

"First up is Crime and Justice: SUV," she said. After that clip, she moved on to CFD amd Without a Trace.

She turned the lights back on after all the clips. "Any questions or comments?"

Same as last week, the clips are the meta shows, not the actual shows. 4. These clips are a little on the longer side. You don't have to watch if you don't have time/interest.]

"Not at all," Marty replied. "I'm just insinuatin' that your hearing isn't that good."

"There is absolutely nothin' whatsoever the matter with my hearin'. Perhaps your ought to saunter yourself on down to the clinic and see if your hearing ain't been affected, considerin' that you appear to be alone in believin' that noise was 'doink-doink' instead of 'bum-bum!'"

"Really? Because I was thinking that whatever flattened your hat also did a number on your head resulting in some hearing problems," Martry replied.

"Didja even hear what I just said? You are alone in believin' that that noise has any sort of 'doink' to it whatsoever. In this case, I do believe that majority may rule."

"DOINK! DOINK!" Marty argued in a highly educated tone.

"BUM-BUM!" Pete returned. "BUM-BUM, BUM-BUM, BRAIN-DEAD SCUM, BRAIN-DEAD SCUM!"

"Ms. Gilmore Danes! The cowboy is calling me names!" Marty said in a way that did sound anything like a tattle-tale.

"Just callin' 'em as I see 'em. And for your information, I ain't never herded cattle in my life, so I'd appreciate it if you ceased to call me a 'cowboy'."

"Then I probably should just call you a cowpoke."

"Hello, that's just a dif'rent name for the same thing," Pete rolled his eyes. Really, didn't people in the future know anything?

"Well I was talking more about your relationships with the cows," Marty explained.

Pete stared at Marty for a long moment, his expression dark. "Just what are you insinuatin' about my relationship with pachyderms?"
