Jim was quiet as he lurked about the pizza. Sick girlfriend, freaking out best friend - not to mention the whole can't trust his own senses thing. Hence, lurking.

Dean was happily stuffing his face, distracting himself from dwelling on...well, anything, really. Things were way too crazy.
