When the students came in, the coffee was burbling and the screen was on, displaying what looked to be a pair of piercing eyes framed in red and blue lines. After everyone had signed in and taken a seat, Logan's voice came out of the speakers, sounding a bit muffled and tired.

"Hey, guys. Last week, I said I wanted a short proposal turned in by today. That's still true, but I'm giving you the entire class time today to discuss with your partner and turn in the short, written proposal by the end of the period.

"I apologize for not being there in person today, but I seem to have caught something and, as much as I like you guys, I'd rather not pass it on and make you sick as well. If I'm better I'll be in my office tomorrow, should you need to see me for anything."

[ooc: Huge apologies, but something has been dumped on me that I need to get done before anything else. Sorry for nothing more substantial. Next week will be actual content. You've got until next week to get in the proposal as I'll just leave the post open until then - or just handwave, as you see fit.]

"Yeah, homecoming was nice," Summer said, smiling. "I had a good time. How about you?"

"Oh, it was all good," Mac said beaming happily. You might get the impression she enjoyed herself. "The rest of the weekend was just me being lazy, really. That's always relaxing."

"Nothing wrong with being lazy," Summer agreed.

"Word." Mac pulled out a pad of lined paper from her bag and fished out a highlighter, because they always come in handy. "You good at coming up with awesome product pitches by any chance?"

"There's always shoes and their many different uses," Summer suggested. "Like how stilettos can be used as weapons."

Mac blinked, "Uh, I don't think I've ever worn stillettos, but isn't the fact that they're possibly lethal... a little offputting?"

"Not if we have to fight zombies or something." It made sense to Summer.

Deciding not to point out the possible inconveniences of fighting monsters in heels, Mac goes with, "I think Fandom has got to be the only place where we can advertise with that as our slogan."

"I think you're right," Summer said with a laugh.

Mac shrugged, "It's what we love about this place." She thought about the shoes as weapons thing for a couple more moments, then addded, "I guess if you have ballet slippers you could strangle someone with the stringy bit." Yeah, this is stretching it, just a little.

"Hmmm, maybe this wasn't the best idea ever." Because morbid much?

"Yeah, possibly not the pitch for us," Mac agreed scrawling a couple of brainstormy-type circles on the the paper in front of her. "Most of my ideas, though..." Mac pulled a face to show exactly what she thought of them. "Yeah, haven't come up with a single thing that makes me think, 'hey, someone might actually go for this!'"

"I'm sure we'll think of something," Summer said.

Mac nodded confidently, in the hope that perhaps that might help. "We will, just give us time, and the ideas will come to us."
