When the students came in, the coffee was burbling and the screen was on, displaying what looked to be a pair of piercing eyes framed in red and blue lines. After everyone had signed in and taken a seat, Logan's voice came out of the speakers, sounding a bit muffled and tired.

"Hey, guys. Last week, I said I wanted a short proposal turned in by today. That's still true, but I'm giving you the entire class time today to discuss with your partner and turn in the short, written proposal by the end of the period.

"I apologize for not being there in person today, but I seem to have caught something and, as much as I like you guys, I'd rather not pass it on and make you sick as well. If I'm better I'll be in my office tomorrow, should you need to see me for anything."

[ooc: Huge apologies, but something has been dumped on me that I need to get done before anything else. Sorry for nothing more substantial. Next week will be actual content. You've got until next week to get in the proposal as I'll just leave the post open until then - or just handwave, as you see fit.]

Jake approached the desk. He thought for a moment, waiting for D, and then began jumping up and down.

Joining Jake at the desk, D'anna took a deep breath and ~~swallowed her dignity~~ began jumping up and down as well.

After they'd done that a couple of times, Jake stood very still and made a circle with his arms. The quicker they got this over it, the quicker they could go back to sitting on opposite sides of the room.

Following suit, D put one hand on her hip and the positioned the other so that it was palm up and level with her shoulder. Had she been raised on Earth, she might have begun to sing I'm a Little Tea Pot.

Fortunately for her, that wasn't the case so she wasn't singing 'tip me over and pour me out' as she leaned towards Jake's circle with the palm she had out flat like a spout ~~even though her player was~~.

Jake glanced over at D.

D stood upright and shrugged her shoulders in response.

If they were lucky, Logan would figure out that they were doing... er, something with liquids maybe, and if they weren't, well, they'd hear from him.

Rory turned in Carmela's and her ~~incredibly handwavey~~ proposal.

Ray turned his and Charlie's proposal in on the snot product they're going to be doing.
