Upon entering the danger shop, students were greeted with an ordinary looking room, empty except for an area in one corner that was set up with a table of breakfasty-type foods and some chairs. Once all of the students were on hand, however, the room's appearance changed, until it resembled the countryside of central Europe. Germany perhaps, or Austria.

Aziraphale smiled and nodded at each student, checking off their names from his list, and waited until everyone was assembled before beginning.

"Welcome to detention. Since I've been given to understand that this is meant to be a learning experience as much as it is a punishment, I've arranged a couple of scenarios for you today. This morning, you'll each face an...enemy, of a sort, in a different setting. How you deal with the encounter, how you ultimately defeat your enemy, is entirely up to you. I expect you each to draw upon the strengths and knowledge you possess.

After lunch, you'll be working together to overcome one additional challenge. Are there any questions?"

The apparent disinterest in dance challenges exhibit by this rival gang was starting to depress the Tomatoes. One of them threw his hands up in disgust and turned away, kicking over a garbage can, but he was dragged back into formation by a couple of his buddies.

There was honor on the line here, and they would dance, dammit!

Blair's half of the gang reformed into a nicely staggered, two-deep line, and showed off with a little jazz ballet step-spin. Then they turned their tomato heads expectantly toward Blair.

We'll stop 'em once and for all.

"Oh! You want to dance!" Blair facepalmed as he got it and looked around. "Um...I really don't know how to do a lot of dances without partners. I'm really not thinking that Bel wants to waltz with me so...er..."

Blair snapped a few times and swayed. Not his best work so far.

It took the Tomatoes a couple minutes to realize that Blair was actually dancing. But everyone has to start someplace, and since the challenge was finally accepted, one of the Tomatoes stepped out in front of the line and executed a really spiffy looking step. While singing, of course.

Take that, rival gang member!

"Wow, man. You guys are really good." Blair nodded slowly and tried the spiffy looking step...and fell down.

"I'm not sure I can beat you at this."

Hey, falling down was good for the Tomatoes! They responded by breaking formation and indulging in a little back-slapping and posturing. Obviously they were getting pretty cocky about this challenge.

Of course, they couldn't keep going if their rival was lying on the ground, so one of them finally walked over and offered Blair a hand.

"Thanks, man." Blair took the hand and stood, brushing off his clothes. Except...his brushing seemed to have a rhythm. His brushing turned into...The Macarena!

Blair bounced and danced and twisted and did all the appropriate hand movements. There was even jazz hands thrown in at the end when Blair bounced high and yelled, "HEY Macarena!"

The Tomatoes looked surprised. This was definitely a step up from Blair's last attempt, and they hurried back into formation.

Of course, not knowing the actual movements necessary for the Macarena, there was a great deal of jostling and turning the wrong way and chaos in general. Didn't look so good for the Tomatoes.

They even forgot to sing.

Blair grinned and put his heart and soul into the dance, even giving a little shimmy.

Damn, now there was shimmying? This dance didn't fit any of their repertoire, and now the Tomatoes were getting frustrated. A couple of them did walk away in defeat, refusing to do any more dancing that didn't even come with lyrics that made sense.

The couple that were left finished their little butt shimmy, but it was kind of half-hearted. They really looked ready to concede defeat.

Blair felt bad as he finished up the last of his Macarena and his final shimmy showed that he wasn't as into it. "Guys, wait. You were really good. I couldn't do any of that footwork and that snapping? Dude, totally awesome."

He walked forward and held out a hand. "Can we call it a tie?"

Well...their snapping was pretty awesome, and maybe it wouldn't be such black mark on gang honor to accept a tie. After a little discussion that seemed to consist mostly of walking around deliberately and bobbing their heads at each other, the Tomato who'd presented the challenge stepped up and shook Blair's hand.

Then then turned and headed down the street, swaggering and snapping in unison.

Blair bounced and pumped a fist in the air. "Yes! No turning them into wee tomatoes this time!"

Aziraphale chuckled softly as he stepped into view. "Excellent work, Mr Sandburg. You may sign out now and leave if you like, unless you want to stay and speak to any of your fellow students."

"Nah, I'm cool." Blair bounced forward and patted Phale on the arm. "Awesome detention, man. Totally awesome."

"Well thank you, my dear," Aziraphale laughed. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

He removed Blair's name from his list. "You have a good evening, and try to keep out of trouble for one week."

"No worries, man. I'm going to totally use my get out of detention free card." Blair grinned.

"And I'll likely be serving in your place." Aziraphale grinned back, and mentally facepalmed again, remindeding himself that this was why you had to watch what you said around teenagers. Especially the creative ones.
