Upon entering the danger shop, students were greeted with an ordinary looking room, empty except for an area in one corner that was set up with a table of breakfasty-type foods and some chairs. Once all of the students were on hand, however, the room's appearance changed, until it resembled the countryside of central Europe. Germany perhaps, or Austria.

Aziraphale smiled and nodded at each student, checking off their names from his list, and waited until everyone was assembled before beginning.

"Welcome to detention. Since I've been given to understand that this is meant to be a learning experience as much as it is a punishment, I've arranged a couple of scenarios for you today. This morning, you'll each face an...enemy, of a sort, in a different setting. How you deal with the encounter, how you ultimately defeat your enemy, is entirely up to you. I expect you each to draw upon the strengths and knowledge you possess.

After lunch, you'll be working together to overcome one additional challenge. Are there any questions?"

"Morning Azzy...uh...Mr. Aziraphale." Blair bounced. "I did not earn detention. It's just karma."

"Yes, I heard over the announcements," Aziraphale chuckled. "You're quite certain you didn't find a way to rig the lottery? Trying to set a new record for most detentions in a semester, perhaps?"

"Do you think that I'll get a t-shirt or a trophy if I get the most?" Blair asked and then leaned forward. "I kinda like the lottery. I feel like I've already been punished so I'm free to act up without consequences."

"If I say I'll see what I can do about a t-shirt or trophy, you're going to be in detention every Saturday, aren't you?"

Aziraphale shook his head. "Somehow I doubt that's going to be the way it works out. But I suppose you can give it a try. Perhaps they should issue 'Detention Served' cards with the lottery, so you can just turn them when you get caught making mischief."

Blair blinked and then bounced so high he almost dropped his breakfast. "Can they do that? Because that would be the best thing ever. Seriously. We should go talk to the principal RIGHT NOW!"

"Good heavens!" Aziraphale exclaimed, reaching for Blair's almost-dropped breakfast. "I really don't think Principal Washburn would go for that idea, my dear. And unfortunately, right now we have a detention to get through."

"Are you sure she wouldn't?" Blair asked, getting a better hold onto his food. "Maybe you should talk to her about that. I'm sure we could hold down the fort while you're gone."

"Very nice try, Mr Sandburg," Aziraphale chuckled. "But I'm not the one who wants a free pass to wreak havoc. I'm afraid you're stuck with me for the duration of our day together."

Blair sighed and grinned at Phale. "Well, it was worth a try. But after we're done I'm so going to write up a proposal for detention served cards."

Mentally facepalming, Aziraphale wondered whether he'd end up with detention for putting the idea in Blair's head.

"Perhaps...you could take it to the student council?" he suggested weakly.

Blair's mind was on overdrive and he muttered as he ate his scone. "...write...Tick...recycled paper...petition..."
