Criminal Justice
*Tick stands at the lecturn. He isn't staggering, nor is he wearing condoms on his antennae. He is covered with soot and burn marks, as if he's been in the middle of frequent explosions all weekend. He appears to be unharmed, and not even his costume is damaged, so it's probably nothing to worry about.*
The three basic parts of Criminal Justice are the Police (and concerned citizens who fight crime in colored spandex), the Courts, and Corrections. Police capture criminals, courts throw them in prison if they're guilty, and corrections keep them in prison until they've learned how to contribute to society.
But, c'mon, you knew that! Today's discussion, class, comes from something your classmate Felixdidn't actually say, but I attributed to him because I wanted to said on Thursday. If you found somebody juggling kittens against their will, what would you do? There isn't a law about Kitten Juggling. This is what we call a Gray Area. Pick one of the Three Mighty Components of Criminal Justice and discuss what you would do.
This week's Extra Credit prompt is: What's the cutest kitten you've ever seen?
[OOC: I have a Class Info post set up in Tick's personal journal (it's also linked in his User Info). It'll be updated regularly with the current class list, class description (including the class rules, which I changed slightly), and links to each class period. Feel free to go back and comment in any class period you may have missed. I'll just attribute it to extreme slow-time. There are a couple people in extreme danger of being dropped, due to not showing up at all, so please, use it, or you're dropped at the end of the week. But there's a chance they might have been dropped from the game by then, so whatever.]

Sir, what happened?!
As the police, if I found someone juggling kittens? I'd arrest them for animal cruelty, throw them in a cell (suggest a psyche evaluation) and
keep the kittenshand the kittens over to animal welfare. As for cutest kitten? My cat I just bought on the weekend. Nero's not exactly a kitten...but he's pitch black and just the most adorable thing ever!

Probably...it's hard to let your hatred of animal cruelty not get in the way sometimes.
He is! I have to declaw him next week though, before he completely rips my carpeting apart.
