Coffee? Check.

Laptop? Check.

With the essentials in hand, Bridge opens the library.

Bridge is looking up more detailed information on the different personality types he'd learned about in Spying yesterday.

Now he's brought out a little jewelry box and is practicing his lockpicking skills.

He is scrolling through the library catalogue with a frown of concentration, trying to remember the title of that book he'd read as a kid... It was something about cave-people, that's all he remembers.

Now he's randomly poking through the children's lit section, because he's *pretty* sure the book had been written by this time, so it *should* be here somewhere, right?

It's lunch, so the library is closed unless you work here.

Having given up on the book, Bridge opens his laptop and starts poking at the schematics for... something.

Bridge is going over his Hunting notes in preparation for class.

And now he's off learning about cursed objects, so maybe someone else can help you?

Nope.

Hermione realizes that she and Willow didn't set up a specific time to meet, so she decides to play safe. She comes in after lunch with some books to get some studying done while she waits.

She was in luck. Willow came in not long after. "Hey, Hermione! How's it going?"

"Good," Hermione says, looking up even though her hand is still finishing writing that last little note. "How are you?"

"I think I've managed to corral my Homecoming induced panic into constructive energy that I'm applying towards my classes," Willow said. "I realize this may only last until the day of the dance, but at least it's a stop-gap."

"It's best to use the energy while you can. I barely even realized there was a dance," Hermione admits, frowning. "I may have been a little study-involved."

The word she should have used is obsessed, but Hermione's not admitting that.

Willow wouldn't have called it obsessed anyway. "Normal commitment and dedication to schoolwork" maybe, but not obsessed.

"Think we can channel some of this energy into doing a spell?" Willow asked. "It'd be a favor for Bel, if that helps."

"Of course," Hermione says. "What needs to be done?"

"He wants a pumpkin turned into a carriage," Willow said. "In time for the dance on Friday. I'm sure I can do the energy and researchy parts of the spell, but I haven't had much luck with transfiguration so far."

Yuh-huh. You also totally still have IM forwarding on!

It's a little advanced, but at the same time, it's Hermione. "I can definitely help there," she smiles.

"Yay!" Willow got out a notebook and turned to a fresh page. "Okay, do we need to start with book-hitting or do you have spells we can adapt?"

Door stops in to return Buttercup's Baby, unabridged, and much as it was when she passed Aly's office, she's trapped like a fly in amber by the lockpicking. "Oooh..." is less than original material, but...at least it's a new audience?

"I actually have my Transfiguration book in my room. I've read it cover to cover three times," she says, not mentioning how long she's had the book. Because the answer is something like a month. "It's really a matter of practice, I think. Graduating to increasingly larger things."

"Think we could get enough practice in by Friday?" Willow asked. She also wrote that down, because note-taking was a thing she liked to do.

"Definitely," Hermione nods.

She takes out her wand, points it at her pencil, and transfigures it into a small pumpkin, just because it's already on her mind. She considers this, and says, "I'm going to have to keep sizes proportionate, I think, just due to the size difference between a pumpkin and carriage," she muses. "So this about right."

Willow's eyes were wide as she watched. "Neat! So conservation of mass is still an issue?"
