Detention: 9/30/06

When entering the Danger Shop for detention today, the students will find themselves in a rather tranquil environment.

Tranquil, but somewhat unnatural. White void as far as the eye can see, barring the single, almost floating doors that would lead back out of the Danger Room.

The Doctor sits cross-legged on the spotless white floor, a small notepad in his lap, a pen behind one of his sizable ears.

He marks down attendance as people arrive.

Agnes Nitt
Blair Sandburg

When both students had arrived, the Doctor did not speak, but held up a simple note.

It read "Meditate".

[ooc: Sorry for the lateness. Last minute covering. EDIT: Up and Ready.]

Agnes shook her head. "No. I never learned."

"Me either." Blair shrugged. "Which means we probably shouldn't challenge it to a game."

"Maybe we can try another game like Cripple Mr. Onion," Agnes suggested. "It shouldn't be which game that's important, right?"

"As long as it's a game that they'll have to spend a lot of time on, it should work. It would probably be bad to challenge them to a game that's too easy." Blair frowned. "I've never heard of Cripple Mr. Onion. How do you play it?"

Agnes briefly explained (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cripple_Mr_Onion) the basics of Cripple Mr. Onion. To go into extensive specifics would have kept them there all day.

"It wouldn't be too easy," I think.

Blair blinked and nodded slowly. "Yeah, I'm not seeing that as being too easy at all."

"It's either that or we pretend we know how to play chess and make up the rules as we go along," Agnes suggested.

Blair bounced. "Which would make it pretty impossible for Mr. Evil-From-Before-Time-Began to win, wouldn't it? That might be a good plan."

Blair grinned sheepishly. "I'm more of a checkers man, myself."

"It's not played much in the Ramtops," Agnes said, shaking he head.

"Does that mean we passed?" Blair smiled hopefully, a little nervous about having to actually play the game.

Agnes watched the fiddling and couldn't help smiling. Getting one up on the teacher - or detention host - was rather satisfying.
