Gun Club, noon

Parker opened up the gun range, checked the room, posted the sign, then got out her .Sig and her 9mm and started practicing.

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

The gun range is open.

"Of course!" Luke said, holding it in front of him and carefully explaining how it worked. "It pulls just a little bit to the right," he said, "but not nearly as much as your weapon did."

Pippi took a deep breath and aimed with her heart adjusted her aim before squeezing off a shot that went a smidge to the right.

She adjusted again and pulled off two more.

Both bullseyes.

"That? Is seriously the coolest sound any firearm has ever made." Said Pippi who hadn't ever quite heard a zat gun in action.

Luke flipped the blaster over to pop out the power source. "It lasts for a while, though," he said, "especially if you set it to stun rather than kill."

"Yes." Pippi nodded. "Stun is probably best."

She looked at the power source. Which I, for some reason, assume is glowing.

"Pretty."

"I guess," Luke said looking down at the shiny because hell, why not? thing he was holding in his hand. "A lightsaber's better, though."

"Another weapon that makes a cool sound." Pippi said. "Though Sheriff Tex has a glowy sword too... It's a bit more... Cracklly though. Where'd you get yours?"
