Gun Club, noon

Parker opened up the gun range, checked the room, posted the sign, then got out her .Sig and her 9mm and started practicing.

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

The gun range is open.

"A bit," Parker drawled, coming over to study him. "And you're good at it, too. Why didn't you ever drop by before?"

Anders shrugged. "Never really saw the need, I guess. It didn't seem like me. But after I had to learn in Leadership and turned out to be better at it than I thought . . ." He shrugged again. "Seems like a waste not to practice."

"Definitely. You *know* it might come in handy around here," Parker said, smiling. "Even if it's not your hobby as well as a skill. Do you need any help? Is the gun you've got working for you?"

There might have been a tiny smirk on that last question.

Anders quirked an eyebrow at her. "Maybe I've just been around here too long, but I feel like that calls for a 'dirty.'"

Parker laughed. "Whatcha gonna do? Guns are way, way too easy to be euphemistic about. Seriously, though. You need any help, or are you set?"

"For now, I think I'm good. Getting pretty comfortable with this one," Anders said. "Maybe in a couple of weeks, if you want to give me suggestions on what I should try next?"

"Sure. We've got rifles as well, that might be something to try next. And if you catch Aeryn or Skywalker in here when they're not too busy, they *might* let you look at their weapons. If you ask nicely." She grinned. "I'm glad to see you here, though. Preparedness is everything."
