"I've managed so far," Naomi replied, completely ignoring the fact that it was actually only the first week of extra curriculars, "I don't mind doing extra stuff, it keeps me sane,"

Chad nodded. "I was going to join the fraternity, but it conflicted with my work schedual. Considered self defence club, too. How is that?"

"Well first session was pretty much a meet and greet type thing but we'll start learning next week," Naomi replied, "I think it's going to be good, I haven't learnt self defense before and it will always be a useful thing to know,"

"Since I hope to get into Starfleet Academy and become a Starfleet officer I'll end up using the skills somewhere down the track,"

"Starfleet Academy?" Chad didn't know what it was, but it sounded pretty cool.

"It's like a university in my time but it's for future officers for Starfleet, so it's basically a training course,"

"And...Starfleet? The sounds like something with space...So you're interested in stuff like that?"

"Space Exploration," Naomi replied, "I grew up on a Federation Starship called Voyager and both my parents are Starfleet Officers, I've wanted to be a Starfleet Officer since I was little,"
