Fencing Club, 5pm, Salle

Peter arrived at the salle probably quite a bit earlier than he needed to, but he wanted to make sure everything was set up.  Even if everything wasn't all that much.

Once people arrived, he nodded and started introductions.  "I think I know most of you, but I'm Peter Pevensie.  I'm a knight of my country, and I fight with a longsword and with a shield.  I know some of you have been training for years and some have never picked up a blade before, so shall we go around, do introductions to get to know each other and start planning for what people want to do for the rest of the semester?"

"Would you tell your name, what type of swordwork  - if any - you've studied in the past, and what you are hoping to learn?"

After introductions, he smiled again.  "Quickly, some rules we've developed in the salle.  The salle is for training purposes only.  Working with another student or working your own forms or moves.  Any sparring ought to be done up in the gym where there's more space and more people around.  This is partially because unless there are very special circumstances, all sparring should be done with practice blades.  No one needs to be seriously injured as a result of training.  You've probably noticed that we share space somewhat with the gun range.  They do get loud so if anyone has more ideas to dull the noise other than the makeshift barrier and fabrics we've put on the walls, please make the suggestion.  And finally, the salle isn't open all hours like the gym.  It's open 10am - 6pm on the weekdays and 12-4 on the weekends.  Sadly, if you want to practice outside of those hours, you need to do it in the gym with a practice blade."  He grinned.  "Unless your name is Alanna.  That's all I have for today unless someone has any questions or a suggestion."

[OOC: Wait for the OCD if you please]

Alanna's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Don't bother. I prefer fair fights." She whistled Faithful over and left his in charge of Lightning before picking up the heavier sword. "Ready?"

Joxer hefted the broadsword and nodded. "If you prefer fair, though, we might need someone to tie my hand behind my back."

Alanna brought up her the sword to a guard position, not saying a word.

"Please don't kill him.

Joxer raised his own sword and grinned. "Give me your best shot, then."

Alanna didn't roll her eyes, really. She did quickly launch into a careful attack at Joxer's torso, neck, and arms. She was careful to not accidently nick him.

Joxer gulped as Alanna's swing found their mark... without leaving a mark.

"What just happened?" he asked.

Alanna smiled sweetly and innocently at him. "We're sparing. Aren't you going to block?"

Joxer blinked and raised his sword again. "Let's try that again," he said.

Alanna's smile? As sharp as her blade. This time, she aimed her attacks at Joxer's arms and torso and wanted to lightly tap him on the skin with the tip of her sword.

And again, Alanna does exactly that.

Joxer stared, bug eyed. "How do you do that?" he asked.

Alanna rolled her eyes. "Seven years of practice six hours a day including weekends but excluding holidays. Now come on. Since apparently you can't block, at least try to attack?"

Joxer grumbled a little, then took a pretty wild swing with his sword at Alanna's midsection.

Alanna didn't roll her eyes, really. She did easily block the swing.

Joxer was getting really frustrated, so he swung again at Alanna's stomach, trying to stomp on her foot as he did so.

Alanna blocked again and turned away to get away from Joxer.

Joxer stomped the ground in frustration. "Who teaches a girl to swordfight every day for years?!"

Alanna pointed the sword down to the ground. "They don't know I'm a girl." Her voice was very dangerous. "And what? You think a girl can't fight as well as a guy?"

Joxer threw his sword on the ground and stomped towards the door.

Hoping no one noticed that he had started crying.

Alanna rolled her eyes at his retreating back.

"Highly." Alanna rolled her eyes. "Next week? Please, please, please."

"And other clothes as well, I hope." Alanna said with a smirk.
