Library - 9/26

Mocha in hand, Isabel showed up right on time to open the library.

Coffee is wonderful.

Isabel is in Bio right now. Perhaps another aide can help? Otherwise the library is locked.

Going over her bio notes, Isabel wondered if it was possible to have a dragon with both wings and horns.

Bio forgotten, Isabel was investigating the latest new fiction releases.

Ching Tai delivers! The library is closed for lunch.

The library has reopened. Isabel is shelving books.

She's found a book on origami and is attempting to make a paper swan.

Isabel is straightening up in preparation for closing.

The punctuation mark on a post.

Sam is around, and would be perfectly happy to be pulled away from his World History notes.

Ms. Readman, were she awake enough to talk, would agree. As it is, she merely mumbles, "Good morning, Isabel," and gulps at her own cup.

It's funny, before coming here she was more of a tea drinker.

Isabel waved back sleepily.

Lana wandered in to look for a book for her humor class. She saw Isabel and went over to say hello. "Hey! How's it going?" she asked.

"Hi Lana!" Isabel smiled as she ran a duster over the row of books. "It's going well. I'm just straightening up before closing at the end of the period."

"Glad I made it in before it closed, then," Lana said. "I just wanted to grab this book for my humor class." She held it up.

"Oh, and since I talked to you about it the other day, I should tell you that I am going to Homecoming after all." She smiled happily.

"Bring it over and I'll check it out," Isabel smiled, heading back towards the desk. "You are? That's wonderful! Did he change his mind?"

Lana followed her over and handed her the book.

She nodded. "He did. He said that he wanted to make me happy and if going to the dance would make me that happy he wanted me to be able to go." Her eyes might have been a little full.

"Library card?"

"That's good," Isabel smiled. "Because you should be happy. And his issues shouldn't stop you from having a good time."

Lana handed over her library card.

"This is something that's really hard for him," Lana said quietly with a little smile. "It means so much that he wants to do it for me."

Isabel checked out the book and returned both the book and the card to Lana.

"That's good. It's wonderful that he's willing to do that for you."

She smiled at Isabel. "Thanks for being such a good friend, Isabel. I really appreciate it."
