Supernatural Support Group, Music Classroom, 6:00 PM

After Piper's phone call, Bel really wasn't in the mood to hold a meeting, but postponing the first meeting might be bad form. So he forced thoughts of what had happened to Phoebe and what he intended to do about it aside -- for now.

He waited for people to arrive, then began his introduction. "The purpose of this club is to provide a support network for those of us who aren't quite human," Bel began. "Sure, we have a mostly safe haven here, but there's the outside world to consider. Mutants get persecuted, aliens get experimented on, demons get vanquished. We got a lot working against us, but together we can figure out how to deal with possible problems that might arise.

"Anybody got any immediate concerns?"

He'd remembered the lessons of the JA. There were cookies.

You can put your hand down now, Blair.

Blair waved his hand and bounced.

"Yes, Blair?"

"Hi, man." Blair grinned. "Are there any issues of discrimination that need addressing?"

"Have you seen any?" Bel asked.

"Field trips were the only thing on my list, but I think that's leftover from last semester." Blair nodded. "We needed to plan field trips that took into account the fact that Angel couldn't go out in sunlight."

"Same with the cabins," Bel said. "Not so much a problem now, but yeah, not very thoughtful of the school."

"Not at all, man." Blair nodded. "It's possible that they just weren't aware of the special circumstances. Maybe you should present a list of supernatural needs to the school."

Bel nodded thoughtfully. "What kind of special needs do we have now that we know of? Dietary, environment...?"

"You like to eat meat." Blair said with a nod. "Maybe we could have all the supernatural students fill out a questionare or something."

"Great idea," Bel said. "Want to help me write one up?"

"Sure!" Blair opened his backpack and got out a notebook. "We should probably make it anonymous so people don't feel like big brother is looking over their shoulder."

Bel nodded. "We're bound to get a few jokers filling it out with fake information, though," he pointed out.

"There's a Jamie in every bunch, man." Blair grinned.

Supernatural Support Group =/= support for Dean and Sam. Really.

Marie thinks she should offer to bake cookies for the meeting next week.

Bel seconds that motion.

Lana's mostly just here to be a support. She doesn't really have any concerns herself. Besides, she's still a little too giddy to be worried about much of anything.

"Hey, Lana, thanks for coming," Bel said.

"Of course," Lana said, a little embarrassed to be caught daydreaming. "But hey, wasn't Phoebe supposed to be here too?"

Bel frowned. "She's, um, gonna be staying in San Francisco for a few days."

Lana frowned. "Really? Why? Wasn't she supposed to be back last night? It's not like her to miss classes."

"She got mugged," Bel said. "She's pretty shaken up, but she's okay. That's what Piper tells me at least."

"Mugged?" Lana looked shocked. "Oh my God, poor Phoebe."

"I guess it happened last night," Bel said. "Piper said they've called the police but they haven't caught the guy."

Lana shook her head. "She must be so shaken up."

"You can probably get away with calling her," Bel said unhappily. "I can't."

"Why not?" Lana looked even more shocked.

"Because then she'd have to explain me to her grandmother," Bel said. "Can you say awkward?"

"Oh, right," Lana said. "I guess I don't think of you as a demon. You're just my friend. But yeah, her grandmother probably wouldn't take it well."

"That's an understatement," Bel sighed. "She'd vanquish me in a heartbeat."

"And Phoebe would be upset if I threatened to kill her grandmother in retaliation," Lana said. "Yeah, bad all around."

"Oh." She looked rather embarrassed. "I should probably apologize."

Like Lana, Kaylee is there mostly to be supportive.

"Thanks for coming, Kaylee," Bel said.

"No problem," Kaylee said. "Wanted to show my support."

Cally's there. Wondering why exactly she signed up for this, but hey, good company, really.

"Hey, Cally," Bel said. "Nice to see you here."

"Yep. I guess technically I'm an alien, but no one's exactly persecuted me on it," Cally said. "So I figured why wait for it to happen?"

Bel nodded. "True enough. You go outside this island and people find out you're an alien, you could be in for a world of trouble."

Lorne sits at his usual spot in the class room with a thermos filled with a drink that may or may not be alcoholic.

He's most likely isn't going to share.

Just 'cuz.
