Daisy was sitting in her chair again, this time looking like she planned to stay there for awhile.

"Welcome back everybody. Plese remember that your choices for you monologue are due next week. If you haven't found one yet, I have several resources available here and in my office." She gestured to the books on a table near the door.

"Today we're going to pair up and work on some improvisational scenes, however. I've assigned your pairs, but feel free to rearrange yourselves if your partner isn't here, or if you finish early and get bored or something. Your only guideline is that each of you must represent an animal in your scene. Cat, dog, bearded dragon, seahorse, I don't care. As long as it isn't vegetable, mineral, or human. A few guidelines for improvisation: never contradict your scene partner. A good phrase to keep in mind is 'yes, and'. Agree with what they've done, and build on that. You also might want to avoid asking questions, or bringing up anything that's inappropriate for schools. I'll watch each of your scenes and let you know what, if anything, you're doing wrong."

Daisy then gracefully got to her feet to post the list of groups on the board before sitting back down and sipping her coffee.

[ooc: As Daisy said, if you have to rearrange because someone isn't available or what have you, you may. I've tried to group based on general availability, but I don't have information on that from everyone, so it might not have worked perfectly. The post will be open for slow-play through the end of the week (and into the weekend if you need to wrap things up with your partner). Handwaving is always allowed]

"Hey, Briar," Angela said lazily. "Do you have snything in mind?"

Briar grinned. "Well, last time I was a seagull so I have some 'bird' experience. You?"

"I was a pirate last time," Angela said. "If you're a bird, I think this time I'll be a fish."

It made sense to her.

"I don't want to be a seagull again. How about I'm a pelican and you decide to convince me not to eat you?"

"Okay, and I don't want you to eat me because I have baby fish to get back to," said Angela, who may have seen a movie about cartoon fish a time or five. "Ready when you are."

Blair flapped his arms and walked over to Angela. "Caw caw caw!" So he might have sounded more like a crow. Details.

Angela made a fish face.

Then she tried to make it without laughing.

On her third try, she succeeded, and made little swimming motions around Briar.

"Caw, caw, caw, caw, caw!" Briar wasn't laughing, really. "Caw dinner caw!" He flapped a circle around Angela.

"Not dinner," Angela said. "Glub, glub."

"Dinner, dinner!" Briar made a snapping motion at Angela and burst out laughing.

Angela, also giggling, ducked lower and kept "swimming."

"You don't want to eat me! Eat her!"

"There's no on there! And you look plenty big for two meals!" Briar flapped a bit more. "Caw caw!"

"I have babies!," Angela said, trying to swim faster. "And, um, I'm poisonous to you?"

Briar paused for a second. "Nah. Dinner dinner!"

Angela paused. This was getting repetitive. "Are you sure you're hungry?," she asked, still swimming fast.

Briar would have agreed with Angela if he new what she was thinking. "Hmmmm...but then where would I find another fish in an hour?"

"I could swim toward a reef with plenty of fish on it," Angela said, thinking fast. "You could have two fish, if you folow me there. Fish who aren't related to me."

Briar considered this, still flapping. "Fine. But if there are no fish? You're my dinner."

"Deal," Angela said, and "swam" off.

very fast.

Very very fast.

So fast she knocked into a desk and fell hard to the floor. "Do fish say ow?"

Briar walked over to Angela, normally. "Fish don't, but I think we're done. You okay?"

"Fabulous," Angela said, pulling herself up. "You were a very convincing pelican."

Briar snorted. "Caw caw. Why do I always get weird roles?"

"This is a weird class," Angela said with a shrug. "Weird school, too."
