"Who's Vader?" Mac asked, finally deciding that the greenery she was prodding experimentally should actually go into her mouth.

Billy put a bit of several different dressing flavors on his salad. "Ethics teacher I think. Big ominous guy all in black."

Mac blinked, "Well, he sounds nice and approachable." Heavy on the sarcasm.

"Oh yeah. Specially likes it when you laugh at something he says."

"I'll bear that in mind the next time I see a tall creepy guy wearing a lot of black wandering the halls." Mac continued to pick at her salad. "I'm assuming you take his ethics class?"

"No, actually. Ran into him, not literally, a week or so ago."

Mac twirled her fork between her fingers, she does like to fiddle. "That must have been a fun encounter, considering. At least most people on this island are friendly."

"Actually it was rather comforting." Billy said seriously.

"You found meeting a not very nice, creepy, dressed all-in-black ethics teacher comforting?" Yeah, Mac doesn't really get that one.

"This place, all this friendliness, I'm not used to it. Kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Meeting an actual mean person kinda took the edge off."

"You're not used to nice people?" Mac can't help but feel bad for him. "That's... that's just kinda sad. At least you're here now. Get used to the nice."

Mac finished off the last of her salad, and stood. "Well, it's been nice chatting Billy. I should be off, but I'm sure I'll see you around."
