The Danger Shop was a mall today: a mall that was all clothing stores in a vast array of styles. And class was meeting by an escalator, where Isabelle was standing next to a table. On the table were items that the students were going to find familiar.

"Everyone, pick up the weapons from our first class together," Isabelle said, gesturing at the weapons in question. "Today, we're going shopping."

Spoken like someone who loved shopping, and expected them to feel the same.

"Specifically, you're all going go around the mall and assemble outfits that are both stylis and also convenient for concealing whatever weapon you picked. And ––" She held up a finger. "–– before anyone complains about this putting some of you at a disadvantage because your weapons may be harder to conceal... Tough. That's part of the lesson." And she wasn't saying that unkindly. It genuinely was part of the lesson. "Sometimes you have to work around disadvantages, because life is not fair, and it's even less so when it comes to any meaningful form of fighting. So, best learn to live with it."

She'd been serious for a second there.

So, time for a smirk: "Now, off you go. Shop!"

Almost lecturing this time!

Find something fabulous that you like and that also conceals your chosen weapon!

Dante wasn't really good at the concealing part. You could blame it on his lack of experience with weapons that didn't disappear at will - but it was just because he was who he was.

On the other hand, the blindingly red leather he was flicking through would probably distract from just about anything.

Peebee glanced over from the purple and black leathers she was perusing, and smirked. "Possibly unsurprisingly, I like your style."

"It means you have great fashion sense," Dante said, grinning at her over a pair of red leather pants.

Or no sense of subtlety.

Or both, Dante. It was absolutely both.

"Also," Peebee said as she inspected one of several leather jackets that were distinctly lacking material in the midriff area, "I'm someone with a hard time believing you and blending in were ever going to be BFFs. Not saying you couldn't rock the stealth look, but."

"Nah, you're right," Dante said, flashing her a grin. "What's the fun in sneaking in when you can just rock up into the room and kick some ass?"

Peebee held a jacket up in front of her and frowned down at it thoughtfully.

"I mean, being the right kind of sneaky could definitely earn you style points, but it seems like kind of a waste when no one can really appreciate it, you know? Plus, time-consuming."

No one was ever going to accuse her of being a low-chaos kind of person ~~just to cross franchise streams a little bit~~.

"They're gonna remember you if you throw yourself in there with some drama," Dante said, folding up the pants to try on later. "Sure, that's not always what you want, but most of the time, who cares?"

"A good argument in favor of not knocking everyone in the head so they get amnesia," Peebee drawled, only half sarcastically. "Talk about making an impression, though. Like with your fists. That's sort of a -- never mind."

Dante grinned. "Making an impression," he echoed. "See, I like that."

Dante liked puns, news at eleven.

"Ugh," Peebee said, pretending to roll her eyes (which was not as convincing as it could have been since she was snickering), "you would. Do you quip your way through fights, too?"

Which was not to say she'd disapprove.

"Best way to live," Dante said, smirking at her.

"Keeps 'em from being boring," Peebee said. She shook her head at him, as if she disapproved, but she was still grinning. "Speaking of things you'd never be BFFs with."

She paused.

"Me neither, of course."

Ahsoka was orange, white and blue, had montrals and lekku, and was rapidly approaching six foot not counting the montrals, she somehow doubted weapons would be the most conspicuous thing about her.

. . . yeah, Peebee was just going to go with something fabulous that would distract people from any weaponry, because blue and all that.
