Music is Love: [9/12] Period 7

"Hello Kittens!" Lorne greeted the class. "I hope you remembered your assignment and have brought your own bootie shaking musical piece for class today. Why? Because today is all about the shaking of the butt. Or any other body part for that matter."

Lorne leaned back on the stage a bit. "You see music was never meant to be a passive thing. It's creation was to evoke a response. Whether it was to praise the gods or goddesses of your choice; show someone how you are feeling or get you up on your feet and dance. Later on we'll examine how music can affect our feelings and whatnot. For now? Shake that booty!"

Lorne then pointed at Zero. "Okay Zima! You're first. Show us what you got! Sandy? Mary? I'll need your assistance grading the booty shaking."

"Actually, it's 'Zero,' sir, but...I guess Zima's fine. Okay, this is actually a duet, but there's only one of me, so...I'll make do."

And then she proceeded to perform a possibly familiar song, only in a rather punkish manner.

((Oh, come on, I had to!))

As a general standard, Chad didn't dance. With one exception. The tango. Chad could dance a meeaaaaan tango.

But it took two to tango.

So, Chad figured, he'd paid tribute to his Mexican heritage last time; better pay tribute to his Japanese heritage this time.

Domo arigato, indeed. Chad showed off his mad, stoic-robot skills to Mr. Roboto (http://www.oldielyrics.com/lyrics/styx/mr_roboto.html).

Zuko had a new strategy today. Hopefully it would spare him having to argue with anyone.

He got up on the stage and preformed the cheeriest song (http://www.avatarspirit.net/files/audio/Secret%20Tunnel%20Song.mp3) he could think up. Too bad the only time he actually moved was to get the hell off the stage.

Bel wasn't a student in this class, but after it let out he wandered in and approached Lorne.

"Bel," he corrected automatically. "I had a quick question for you. I was thinking, with this demon hunting class they're teaching here now, people like us need some support. So maybe we could have a Demonic Support club for demons and their friends? But I'd need a faculty sponsor to get it running. Would you be interested at all?"

"I sang," Zuko grounded out as if that should be enough already.

Marie's not much for 'shaking her booty', but she is pretty comfortable with a certain kind of dancing.

Thus, she's dug up a recording of an old classic (http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Ballerina-lyrics-Nat-King-Cole/1AAA72129BC4B81948256AF1000B0117) and does a simple ballet routine.

"Which expresses exactly how music makes me want to move," Zuko pointed out.
