Basketball Practice, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Tyler is trying fancy dribble techniques.

It is likely no one will draft him for the Harlem Globetrotters, but at least he's getting good exercise chasing the balls he loses all over the gym.

Last practice before the game.

[OOC: OCD is up. Plottery post about game logistics here. I'm on slowplay for the afternoon and will be gone entirely from 5-10 p.m. or so.]

Peter Pevensie.

Peter started off shooting layups. He was making several of them surprisingly.

Got a handkerchief that needs an airing, or just want to mock?

You know. Whatever.

GAME TOMORROW, OMG.

Tyler nodded. "Hey, Coach Bluth. I think we got new players."

"Another victory for the... whatever the hell we are, then," GOB said. "And I have extra shirts, anyway. They'll just have to deal with more general nicknames."

Sawyer.

John Crichton.

"Gremlins," Tyler reminded him. "Blue and gold gremlins. It's Anders and McKnight, I'm not sure if those are first or last names"

"What does my shirt say?," he asked, almost suspiciously.

John starts drilling and makes a few baskets, misses a fewk, and almost trips over his shoelace a few times.

Sawyer tries this one and easily accumulates many points.

Tyler watched Peter as he jumped rope to warm up his muscles. "You're getting better at that," he observed. "Feel ready for the game?"

Peter glanced over at Tyler with a nod. "Thanks, and I think so. It'll be fun if nothing else." He took another shot. "I still say next time should be football," he added with a grin.

"You're 'Minor.' Because the first time I saw you at Caritas, you didn't think you were going to get a drink because you were a minor," GOB said, tossing over Tyler's shirt. GOB was clearly a clever person.

Peter stopped to introduce himself. Because with every horrible thing that he'd heard about the coach, he might as well meet him.

Tyler looked doubtfully at Peter. "Think anyone here is big enough for football? Other than maybe Fat Peter."

"Soccer, I meant," Peter said. "Given that it's the World Cup and all this summer."

"Minor. Great," Tyler said, relieved it wasn't worse. "Thanks."

He wandered off to stuff the shirt into his bag.

"Hey, Accent Guy, catch," GOB said, tossing Peter a shirt.

"I knew that," Tyler lied. "How is England doing, anyhow? I heard America bombed out."

"Brilliantly!" Peter replied. "They have a shot at winning their Group. Tuesday, it's the England-Sweden match which should be interesting given that Pippi supports Sweden. It'll probably be on in the Common Room. We've even discussed the possibility of flags if you want to come watch." He grinned. "And the States only lost their first game. They're in a difficult Group though. Tomorrow vs. Italy will be hard."

Peter? Far too excited about the World Cup? No...

Peter caught. "Err, thanks," he said, doubtfully. "Probably not worth it to point out that you have the accent?"

"Yeah, nice try, Accent Guy. Welcome to America," GOB scoffed.

Peter grinned and bowed formally though perhaps the slightest bit mockingly if one were paying attention to that. "I thank you most kindly for your gracious welcome."

GOB wasn't paying attention to that, of course, so he said, "You're welcome," with the utmost sincerity.

Tyler had to grin at the enthusiasm. "Tuesday, huh? I'll join you guys."
Finishing his warm-up, he went over to the center line and began to work on the first drill.

[OOC: Going home momentarily.]

"It should be fun as long as Her Highness doesn't get too upset about the Swedes losing," Peter said, still grinning. He turned back to his layups and promptly missed the first one.

Willow was in the stands. Strangely there were no hankerchiefs to be seen. She was there to watch and cheer though.

Zack Addy.

Zack started jogging up and down the gym while dribbling.

Conner McKnight

Anders went into the extended version of his usual Pyramid warmup routine. He figured it'd warm up all the right muscle groups anyway.

Conner? Was so not planning on being here. And his warmup routine was geared toward soccer, not basketball, so he settled for a more generic one.
