Today the students would arrive in their own little house simulations, where they were directed to the fenced-in backyard. There, Kitty was standing there with a task to hand them.

Throw something into the bin on the other side of this fence. You may not use powers, you may not use ladders, you may not touch the fence, and you must stay on this side of the fence. Fastest wins. Your time starts now.

The task

There is a large metal barrel on the other side of the fence, about six meters away. You have a house and shed full of things to use, and Kitty is available for questions.

This should have been easy. The fence wasn't any taller than a volleyball net as far as Quinn could tell.

Maybe she got overconfident. Maybe it was that she was throwing something, not spiking something. Maybe it was that the something wasn't a volleyball. Whatever it was, this was not at all easy for Quinn. And that pissed her off.

Then she found a shovel, dug under the fence until it toppled over, and started throwing things in.
