Today's choice of classroom was very nondescript but there were plenty of snacks on a table by the teacher.

“I think we all know each other,” Stark said. “But in case anyone's forgotten, I'm Stark. Not human, not radioactive, I always wear the mask, and I've been on this island a long time now. On and off. And…i suppose you can call me James if you like but it's not really my name Yelena just decided it was one evening.”

That's how people got first names, right? Right.

“So. We're going to be trying out new hobbies this summer. This half of the summer at least. Who knows what might happen later on.”

Lots of unexpected things happened on this island all the time, after all.

“We'll begin with introductions because that's how we nearly always begin. I've already told you who I am. Who would like to go first? Just who you are and if you have hobbies already that you enjoy. I bake, sometimes. I like that. And I do spend some time at the gym. But I need more things to keep me busy.”

"I'm Gray," Gray said, "and I like to watch anime, and fly. Sometimes I play video games but I'm not very good at them," because of the falling asleep in the middle part. "Uhhhh, I don't really have a sleep schedule like a normal person, so sometimes I'm awake in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep, and it would be good to have stuff to do then. But it has to be something that won't be ruined by me falling asleep while I'm doing it." Because that would happen.

Stewart's eyes darted to one side, then the other, when it became clear that he couldn't put off going any more.

"Stewart," he said, slouching his shoulders to one side with his arms crossed in front of him. "I also like to bake," not that kind, "and cook," also not like that, "and you could say I'm into...chemistry?"

Yes, Stewart. You did drugs. We got it.

"Also? Music. Dancing. DJing, digitilizing. Video games, mayhem, destruction...some more than others."

Jonathan Sims

"Hello." Jon nodded. "I'm Jonathan Sims. Jon. I like to read."

He didn't have a lot of hobbies.

"Fly yourself?" Stark checked. That's what he thought, and the idea of a plane or ship piloted by someone who might fall asleep at any moment was, well, not great.

"I haven't played many games. Or watched much anime. But those would both be good late at night. Baking might be bad then if you fell asleep. Unless there was a timer. We'll find you something."

"What sort of destruction?"

Because that one stood out a little. Just a little.

"I don't read much," Stark said. "Cookbooks, sometimes. Nothing else?"

"Erm...well." Jon tried to think of something. "I brush the cat."

It was soothing!

"Cats are good, to help keep you busy," Stark said. "And to help you nap."

"I'm Anakin Skywalker," Anakin said. "I lightsaber practice, interior design--" that's what we'll call lava in a warehouse, Anakin, sure, "--teambuilding activities, and watching reality television travel programs."

"You forgot finding terrible clothing," Stark pointed out. Helpfully.

"They are very good at that," Jon agreed with a small smile. "Though apparently I don't make a very good bed."

You were too bony, Jon.

"I like to think of that more as a calling," Anakin said piously.

Gray nodded. "I have wings," he said, while sitting there with wings very much not in evidence.

"That must...you must feel so free, flying under your own power."

Feelings of freedom were very important.
