Friendship is Magic!, Tuesday, March 11, 2025

The moose in the front office, Anakin had learned, was entirely too invested in their course this semester. "Today's topic," he read from the paper left on the front desk, "is 'the real treasure is the friends we make along the way.'"

He looked at Ahsoka. "Absolutely not."

"After all, everyone knows the real treasure is the treasure you find along the way." Ahsoka thought her Hondo impression was rather good.

Anakin grinned over at her. "That's a good Hondo impression."

Ahsoka grinned back. "If anyone knows about not getting friendship and treasure confused, it'd be him."

Class, guys. "But we should probably not take advice about, well, anything from a pirate," Anakin said. "But our shared experience with him leads to a sort of friendship shorthand."

"And at least three kidnappings." On case anyone was curious about what that shared experience was.

"And that," Anakin agreed. "Shared experience is what friendship is built upon. So today, I want you to share a story that makes you smile about you and a friend."

"For example, the first time I met Master Skywalker, he attempted to hide from me behind Master Kenobi," Ahsoka told them. "Obi-Wan was shorter than him so it didn't work very well."

"I should have let Hondo keep you," Anakin replied.

"Good thing it wasn't up to you then," Ahsoka said, beatifically.

"Should've left Obi-Wan, too."

Anakin could never.

"You wouldn't have."

Anakin smiled. "Perhaps not, but I would have threatened."

"And he would've ignored you," Ahsoka said with a grin.
