You know what? It had taken a bit of quickly rearranging and discussing things on their part, but Gladio was feeling a little inspired by the dreidel game around the island that morning and decided to whip up something real quick based on that for their class that day. After all, it was the final class. Might as well make it really interesting.

So what you had awaiting you in the training room that morning was a giant Gladio sized dreidel, and one it were his own variations on the letters with four symbols, one on each side, of course. There was a pair of crossed swords, there was a Cup Noodle^SM, there was a large bird that some knowledgeable people might recognize as a chocobo, and then there was a large question mark.

"So," he started, "today's our last class, and, in the spirit of keeping you on your toes and balancing that line between fun and fight that we've explored this semester, I've convinced these guys," he hitched his thumb toward his co-teachers, one of whom had been much easier to convince than the other; guess which one!, "to veer a little off our original plan with something in the spirit of today's little bit of holiday whimsy."

"We will be spending the class," Ignis continued, "taking turn in spinning this overly large dreidel--"

"Stay clear of it when it lands!" Prompto pointed out with a chuckle.

Ignis sighed slightly at the interruption. "Well, hopefully, that would be obvious to you by now, but, yes, stay clear of the dreidel as it lands, and, based on what it lands on, that will determine what will happen next."

"If it lands on the swords," Prompto offered, "you're getting a random enemy to attack. If it lands on the Cup Noodle^TM--"

"Cup Noodle^TM, Gladio?" Ignis was not the one to interrupt, with another sigh, though Gladio just chuckled smugly. "Really?"

Prompto cleared his throat a little bit to get back on track. "If it lands on, yes, really, Iggy, the Cup Noodle^TM, everyone gets a random treat! If it lands on the chocobo, you get to play a random fun game. And if it lands on the question mark, that means you get to pick!"

"Pretty straight forward, right?" Gladio asked. "If not, obviously, let us know if you have questions, otherwise, whoever wants to give the thing a spin first, step on up, and let's get this class going!"

Randomly!

Are you surprised to see Gladio trot out a giant dreidel? If so, why have you not been paying any attention in this class?

In another bout of 'why are you putting this much effort into this class?', the premise is pretty simple!
Roll a 4-sided die, virtual or otherwise, or use a classic number generator, or just pick whatever you want, I don't care, I'm not your boss! Either way, though, spin the giant dreidel and see where it lands, and, based on where it lands, get a random Monster to Fight, Treat to Enjoy, Game to Play, or Your Choice!

If you get a 1 for Combat, everyone gets the chance to fight one of the following:
1- Flan (the enemy)
2- Killer Wasp
3- Cactuar
4- Dualhorn

If you get a 2 for Cup Noodle^TM, everyone gets the chance to enjoy one of the following:
1- Flan (the dessert)
2- Cup Noodle^TM (chicken, beef, and seafood flavors!)
3- Mint Peppermint Chocolates
4- Holiday Sugar Cookies

If you get a 3 for Chocobo^TM, we get a thread of playing one of the following games:
1- 2 Truths and Lie
2- Truth or Dare
3- Lawn Darts
4- Duck, Duck, Chocobo

And if you get a 4, you get to choose what you would like to do for that round!

Maybe roll a 1 for Gladio, 2 for Ignis, 3 for Prompto, and if you get a 4, just walk away!

You could tell Gladio was the driving force of this one, because of course he's want to put himself as number 1.

And his whole life had been built around being support and second-in-command, so Ignis would find it hard to argue that 2 wasn't a good number for himself.

And Prompto's pretty sure should either be 4, or, like, not even an option at all, really.

Nell Ingram

Nell rolled a two. And then another two. (I swear that is actually what the dice rolled!)

Cup Noodle for everyone!

She was picking the beef flavor.

"Tell me you rigged it so I'd get everyone Cup Noodle," Nell said with a smile.

"And here I was gonna accuse you of cheesing the system to win bonus points with the teacher," said Gladio, with a faint chuckle and a definite wink. "Guess it was just meant to be, huh?"

"I guess," Nell said with a smile. "I do enjoy the beef Cup Noodle, though I like the ones we make at home where we add good meat and veggies into it as well."

"See?" Gladio chuckled again, this time with that little extra warm fondness that went along with him discussing one of his most favorite topics ever. "And that's one of the many great things that make Cup Noodle^TM so awesome! You can pretty much have it any time, any where, with any one, and you know you'll be satiated and satisfied and have a great flavor experience!"

Nell did enjoy seeing him talk about Cup Noodle. He got so happy.

"Well, I was planning something special for our Christmas dinner, but I suppose we could just have Cup Noodle instead," she teased.

"Wait, really?" asked Gladio, eyes lighting up like they belonged to that proverbial kid on Christmas morning.

You didn't tease about something like that, Nell! His grin widened.

"Well, I guess we could probably pull off both...."

"Oh, I don't know if that would work," Nell said with a grin. "Two fancy Christmas dinners?"

"Well, with hoe much I eat," Gladio countered,confidently, without even missing a single,cocktail beat, "just one ain't gonna be enough, anyway!"

"I think I might just be able to stuff you with what I've planned," Nell said with a smile. "Maybe you could have one for an appetizer. If you want to risk it..."

"Hmmmm...." Gladio's thoughtful hum was a deep rumble as he considered this proposal and rubbed his chin, then he dropped his hand to shake his head.

"No deal," he concluded. "Make it at least three, or else I'm backing and going to go crash Igs and Lils'."

"At least three Cup Noodle?" Nell said, raising her eyebrows in shock. "Maybe you should stay home with your Cup Noodle and I'll crash Ignis and Liliana's dinner. Liliana wouldn't mind!"

Three was barely more than a light snack, Nell!

"Or," Gladio countered, meeting those lifted brows with an unrelenting grin, "we have Cup Noodle^TM for lunch and then we both crash theirs for dinner to save you all that hard work and dirtying all those dishes. Iggy wouldn't mind!"

"Well, if you don't want my special meal I'm sure that's fine," Nell said. "I'll just give it away to someone else."

Gladio squinted a little bit at Nell judiciously, the sort of look that already knew he wasn't going to call her on that bluff, but he wasn't about ready to concede entirely.

"Two Cup Noodles^TM," he negotiated. "And/i> I'll do most of the dishes after."

Yes, he was planning on already doing the dishes afterwards, anyway, but that was beside the point!

"Done," Nell said and held out a hand to shake on it. Not that she needed him to do the dishes, she cleaned up as she went which helped and he was always good about helping out after.

"I guess I won't need to send back the prime rib and other goodies after all."

And here, Gladio's nice good firm grip of Nell's hand as they sealed the deal was accompanied with a groan of anticipation and a shake of his head. "I honestly an't wait to see what you've got in mind," he admitted. "If you'd have mentioned prime rib from the start, I'd have maybe considered getting rid of the Cup Noodle^TM entirely!"

Maybe.

.....

....probably not.

But he did sort of use his hand absolutely devouring Nell's to pull her in a little closer and swoop down for another kiss.

Nell laughed. "Right... I have met you, you know."

And she went up on her toes to kiss him and wrap her other arm around him.
