Fast Talking, Monday, Period 2
Class was in the Danger Shop today. Which was nice and non-ominous.
Just as non-ominous as the fact the simulation seemed to be some sort of fighting arena with a bottomless pit in the middle and some very unsavoury looking characters with nasty, sharp, pointy weapons and nastier, sharper, pointer teeth.
"Sometimes fast talking isn't enough," Aphra called out from her and Isabela's position on the sidelines, safely outside the area. "And you'll have to resort to fast fists."
"Or daggers."
"Or blasters."
"You'll be fine," Isabela called out. "Just remember what we've taught you about teamwork this semester!"
But you hadn't taught them anything about teamwork.

This was not supporting the case to keep showing up at all, and while Stewart may have tried to dance his way out of getting hit, it wasn't working very well, and so he was letting out a litany of sounds (most of them 'ows' and even 'owwies') that there was no way he'd be able to convincingly pass off as a Michael Jackson tribute no matter how hard he tried.
But, at some point, there seemed to be a shift when he realized that dodging wasn't working out and so he was soon just giving into throwing punches like that proper Letterkennian he was.
Turns out, he actually could fight when properly motivated, but he was whining about it the whole time.
