For a change, Cara looked borderline enthusiastic today. "Today we'll be looking at one of this world's most deadly animals." Ah, that explained it.

"But it's so tiny," Jane said, frowning in confusion at the notes. And then at the photo she projected up to the front of the class.

"It's just a baby still," Cara pointed out. "But obviously full of rage." Look at the pose, Jane.

"This is Moo Deng, a pygmy hippo from Thailand who has captured the attention of the internet," Jane said with a sigh. "And yes, hippos are some of the most deadly animals on the planet. Apparently they're prone to capsizing small boats to protect their territory."

Which seemed pretty legit, honestly.

"Apparently, statistically they kill more people than sharks by a large margin." Unsurprisingly, Cara was also team shark. At least when a sharknado wasn't involved.

"But this little one is a pygmy hippo which is less likely to murder anyone." Not for lack of trying. "And is actually more closely related to an extinct species that was native to Asia than their more robust relatives."

Cara believed in Moo Deng's ability to murder.

In awe of Moo Deng

Wonder if a hippo might be a danger to the island at some point.

Play the game! But not the board game, no. Enjoy the hippo onesies and get to it.

One of which was still concerned about how something so tiny could be so dangerous.

Not only was Graham already a pretty big fan of Moo Deng (how long, even, had he been back??), but he was also a big fan of these onesies and this game! So he was pumped and ready and wondering if he'd be better on the scooter or pushing as he also noted to himself to add Hippo to his growing list of languages to look into learning how to speak!

Belle

"Perhaps we could work together?" Belle suggested.

Maybe they could keep the onesies too!

It was sooooo comfy! And it looked good with his cloak over it, too!

But Graham sort of felt his cloak made anything look good.

He flashed Belle a grin. "Perhaps we could!" he agreed. "So, tell me, Lady Belle," said with a duck of his head and a doffing of his cap, "do you find yourself in more of a mood to push? Or be pushed?"

Graham's cloak was just that stylish!

"I think, Sir Knight, that with all of your training you will be better suited to pushing."

"It's true," Graham agreed with a nod, and a slight squaring of his shoulders and a shifting toward a flattering angle (he'd learned a lot, really, from Whisper after all!), "I have been doing a lot of training this past summer."

And you could almost even tell a little bit!

He then grinned at Belle again as his expression turned a little imploring.

"However!" He swung out a finger to emphasize that this next point, despite the eager expression on his face, was very serious and important. "I do have one question for you first. Are you truly hungry enough to be our hippo?"

Gray had one important question: "How do I tell Moo Deng that I love her?"

Perhaps a closer inspection of Graham's progress was in order at a later time.

"I," Belle said, squaring her own shoulders, "am ready to eat! Let me prove myself hungry enough, Sir Knight!"
