"When it comes to the wine of the North American continent," Ignis stated, launching into his usual prerequisite introduction before whisking everyone off to some lush wine country estate, "the first thing that leaps to most people's minds is, of course, the Napa Valley in California, on the far west of the country we currently reside in. However, there are a few other rich landscapes that lend themselves well to the vine, and it is one of those we shall be visiting today. Specifically, the Niagra peninsula in Ontario, Canada, which is the most dense wine region of that neighbor to the north.

"Narrowing it down, we will specifically be visiting the Hare Estate and exploring their rather simple but lovely offerings of wine pairings with a few choice foods, although I have arranged to deviate from their usual offerings to add the wine I chose this particular region for this week: an eiswein, or icewine, which is a wine produced from frozen grapes. Canada leads the world in the production of eiswein, and Ontario itself producing 90% of Canada's yield, followed by Germany, China, and some parts of the United States. It is a fickle, labor-intensive process, leading to a small yield for the work, and very dependent on natural frosts in order to produce, and so it's certainly worth the consideration of our tastebuds.

"And, with that," he nodded, "let's be off to enjoy this week's offerings."

Ignis would absolutely classify it as short and sweet, just like the cultivation period and the resulting wine of eiswein!

Ignis was greatly impressed by the food and wine pairings offered by the Hare Estate, and those by themselves were enough to convince him to choose this vineyard out of the multitude of options in this region. But, also, since their eiswein is a Vidal, he's arranged to have it tasted with peach cobbler with ice cream for the sweet pairing, and some Korean beef for the spicy.

The Hare Estate is focused mainly on the wine, so not a whole lot of extra bells and whistles here, but they're located on a 10 acre vineyard to explore, and, of course, an excellent shop to explore.

He may be a little distracted, with everything still needing to prepare for the party tomorrow, but he had also been looking forward for a few small breaks today to enjoy his classes before getting back into all that.

The Korean beef was delicious, but the peach cobbler was to die for. Nell would definitely be trying to get them to divulge their recipe before they left

Nell would be wandering the vineyard, thank you very much, and wondering about growing grapes. She wouldn't, since she had no interest in making wine, but she could still think about it. ANd if Liliana decided she wanted a vienyard, Nell would be happy to help care for it.

The wine was very sweet so of course Stark was pleased with it.

And with the food pairings, as well. He really did enjoy this class. He'd even (mostly) stopped the paranoid glances at the instructor by now.
