Anyone who knew Gladio would know that these camping classes were among some of his favorite to teach, and anyone who'd taken one of those classes with him before would know to meet just outside the preserve on a day like today. Anyone who hadn't would have at least received the class email or perhaps squirrel-delivered note to let them know the deal, and there, they would find their hulking instructor eager and raring to go with a broad grin on his face.

And, of course, camping packs at his feet.

"Hey, guys," he said. "You ready to get camping? Now, I know some of you," all of them, really, in one way or another, "have taken my Wilderness Survival classes, which are pretty intense, so this class is probably going to be a breeze for you. This one's all about enjoying the nicer, recreational side of camping, and just having a good time in the woods, you know? We're gonna start out nice and simple, though. Grab a pack, and we'll hit the dusty trail to take us out to our campsite, and there, we're gonna work on pitching tents and starting campfires, and once we've got that taken care of, we'll roast some dogs...hot dogs," he corrected, with that strangled sound out of Prompto, "and do our introductions. Pretty straightforward, right? So take a moment, get a little limber for the hike, and let's get moving."

It's not much of a lecture, no, but it's a good chance to ask any questions or pose objections before this all kicks off, really.

According to Gladio and the weather report, it shouldn't be too bad of a day for a walk in the woods, right? Granted, Gladio always thought it was good weather for a walk in the woods, but you've got some time before reaching the campsite! Enjoy it!

Once they arrive at the site, Gladio's going to go over a quick instruction on how they can set up their tents (the tents, of course, are high-quality Coleman^TM tents!) and invites everyone to then set up their own. And, when you're finished, you can help anyone else who might be struggling with theirs, or hop on over to help Gladio get the fire started!

And once everyone's tent passes approval and the fire is going nice and steady, it's time to grab a log or a comfortable Coleman^TM portable camp chair and get settled in! There's more food than just hot dogs to munch on (but don't worry! No marshmallows!) and some cool beverages, so grab something if you're hungry or thirsty, settle in, and go around for introductions.

"You all know me pretty well by now," Gladio said, to get things started out with a nod, "but for the sake of tradition....hey. I'm Gladio Amicitia, I like to teach stuff about camping. It's easily one of my favorite pastime activities, and I'm really glad to get the chance to share that with you guys this summer. My favorite food is probably Cup Noodle^TM," probably!, "and my favorite color's probably black. And there you go. Nice and simple. Who's next?"

He's definitely expecting to make the most out of this campfire through the lunch break before he needs to head into yoga.

Nell Ingram

It was always a lovely day for a walk in the woods, absolutely!

"I'm Nell Ingram and I enjoy time spent in nature," she said. "Not sure if I have a favorite food, but I do love fresh baked bread for sure. My favorite color... maybe green? Or blue?"

Hashtag things Nell never really though much about before.

Nell was in no hurry to leave and figured they could hang out for a while and then go to yoga together.

Arden Finch

Arden had had a big second breakfast for the sole purpose of laughing at a bunch of hungover adults, so this walk was actually much appreciated. She kept a look out for small animals, occasionally whistling very accurate birdsong back to the trees.

"I'm Arden Finch, I like being in nature and fresh air and being around people. My favorite food is pulled pork barbeque, and my favorite color is a nice deep blue. My favorite animals are birds."

Jonathan Sims

Jon was mostly glad for the water bottle. He would be drinking a lot of water today. And just trying to keep up and upright.

Last night had been a mistake.

Jon was grabbing water, and pretty much just curling around the bottle like it was a stuffed animal.

"I'm Jon. Um. Jonathan Sims." He nodded and tried a brief wave. "I'm not an outdoors person, really, but Prompto said this would be fun, and Gladio's good to learn from."
