Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2024, Early Saturday Evening

The week leading up to graduation had been fairly peaceful, which meant it was only a matter of time before things went completely awry.

What? This was graduation #19, everyone at the school knew what to expect by now.

As per tradition, things had been set up to start right around dusk. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, and there was a tasteful amount of glitter on the decorations to honor the seniors in one last bit of sparkle. It was like a graduation present that never went away.

Congratulations, Class of 2024! You made it!

I think some wires may have been crossed, maybe even on my end, but I thought Eleanor wasn't graduating until next year?

I can still totally roll with it, though!

Not everyone! This was Liliana's first graduation and she, like a sucker, assumed everything was going to go well because why wouldn't it? It was a graduation, not a staging ground for a Phyrexian invasion, while the narration looked at the camera and winked.

It was graduation and she was a teacher, so naturally she was present in the audience, honestly expecting a great deal of pomp and remarkably little of circumstance, but this is just what one did as a professor. And while that kind of reasoning rarely mattered to Liliana and her activities, acting in her capacity as a teacher was... different.

Shut up, no reason to make a big deal out of it.

Liliana audibly gasped as the creepy, riddle-speaking vagrant showed up on the stage. She got ready to blast him off the stage and out of the land of the living entirely as a danger to the students before noticing that no one else seemed to be reacting.

"Is this part of the ceremony?" she hissed.

Was Vi feeling extremely ambivalent about this due to that whole impostor syndrome about being here she'd never quite gotten over (and maybe a few other reasons)?

Yeeeeeeeeep.

Vi would actually have been much more comfortable fighting the rabbits, but she could smell a trap when it was tiny, fuzzy, and hopping around. So creepy question guy who looked like something Steph would come up with when she was feeling especially mean it was.

This was absolutely not Ignis' first time sitting in for a graduation, and he'd been to enough to know that things were likely to get a bit strange or interesting. But, since that sort of thing tended to be easy enough to keep under control and hardly was to the level of needing to warn Liliana about, like the kids,he was just going to sit back and enjoy the additional entertainment once it did finally go down.

Never mind the faint smirk unable to leave his face. He was clearly just still riding the residual good mood that went along with no longer being a bat...

Even though she'd been spending the last few weeks getting everything in order of what came after this, Libby's head was buzzing a little with the wildness of the fact that it was actually happening. So much do that she nearly rushed across the stage before her ner es caught up to her to get her diploma, beaming from ear to ear and ducking her head awkwardly as she said "Thank you!" and then beamed at the crowd and thinking how she would have never imagined she'd ever be doing something like this, and yet here she was!
