Sam Eagle Presents: The Weird States of America, Thursday 9/7
Sam Eagle, as was his tendency, was standing behind a podium at the front of the classroom waiting for the appointed time. At said time he cleared his throat and began speaking.
Best not to question how an oversized felt eagle could clear his throat.
“Good morning, students! Welcome to my newest class, Sam Eagle Presents: The Weird States of America! We will spend the next few months learning about this great country and all 50 weird states that make it up. America is a wonderful country but unfortunately her individual states are all quite weird.”
Sam shook his head sadly. “It is only when the states come together that they can truly be a great nation.”
Probably because without being together they wouldn’t be a nation at all, Sam.
“So, today, students, we shall introduce ourselves! Please state your name, your favorite state, and whether or not you can name all fifty of them. Extra credit will be awarded for answers that are not weird.”
Sam nodded at the students, looking for a volunteer. “Who would like to begin?”
