Exploring Alien Cultures, Monday
Today when they got to the conference room on Odessen, there was a white-skinned, tattooed man with no hair leaning against the table.
Lana frowned. "Commander?"
"Hello, Lana. I thought I'd give today's speech."
"I thought you told me you'd grown up in Kaas City and didn't know much about Rattataki history."
"I've been to Rattatak. And I can use the holonet as well as anyone." Lana raised an eyebrow at him, and he crossed his arms. "Do not make me go back to another meeting with the Chancellor. Or do you really want to let Kaliyo loose on your students?"
Lana gave him a look. "Students, this is the Alliance Commander. He'll be talking to you about Rattataki history and culture, apparently."
The Commander smirked. "Rattatak is a rocky and dry planet, with a lot of deadly beasts on the surface, so for much of its history, the people lived underground, until the warlord Rattatak united them and enabled them to claw out some surface area to live in. In general, Rattataki and the others that choose to live there are warlike, accomplished in battle, and uncompromising.
"During the war - the previous war - a man named Darth Vich kidnapped enough Rattataki to create an army, including some that were Force-sensitive, and that he trained to be his acolytes. They were nearly unstoppable, which of course meant he got too ambitious and tried an armed insurrection. Most of his army were killed or enslaved, or sent to the Sith academy, which is how you get Rattataki in the Empire. Other than that, most of the Rattataki that leave their homeworld end up as bounty hunters or mercenaries."
He clapped his hands together. "Any questions?"
Please don't make him go back to political meetings.
