The Danger Shop workshop had a couple new ships in it!

"This is a Y-wing," Jaina began. "It's mostly a bomber ship, very useful in that regard, but it's slow as hell and that is very annoying to deal with in the middle of a battle. This one has a broken coolant pump, which is a major part of the fuel system. So you have to get it right or it's going to be a big problem for a ship that has to fight it's way out of situations. You're going to look at how it's set up, then you'll find the part in the warehouse and replace the pump. Then we'll run diagnostics to see if you fixed it. Or made it worse."

"It has," Anakin said, leaning in for a hug. "How's the class going?"

"Good," she said, hugging him back. "A little weird to try and break down things I was learning at random when I was a kid, but I'm managing."

Anakin laughed. "It is hard to teach something that you picked up instinctively."

"I don't know that it was instinctive. It was more like me following Dad and Chewie around the Falcon and demanding to help," she admitted.

"What do remember fixing first?" he asked.

She had to think about it. "I don't actually know. I know I tried to help with a lot, but I also probably used my multitool to fix things that weren't really broken, too. Then I just started playing around till I started building things."

"Droids were more Anakin's thing," she said. "I tried to show off by building things that were probably not useful but I thought they could be."

"It was something to do," she said. "And I ended up being able to do most anything, so I'll take it."

Oh, figuring out the way the fuel system worked was the easy part; Beta was a clone of an engineering prodigy.

Finding the component she needed in the warehouse, though? That was what just about gave her a panic attack, but at least repairing the Y-wing helped calm her down after that ordeal.

Anakin beamed proudly at her. "Yes you can." He looked at the Y-Wing. "And if you can fix this, you can fix anything."

"You say that like it's hard," Jaina teased.

"They do. Which is why I don't fly them," she said. "But I'd be able to, I'd just frustrate to death."
