Great Fandom Bake-Off, Thursday, First Period
Well, the classroom was less of a classroom and more of a tent in beautiful, pastoral... Brokilon. Look, the teachers were doing their best here.
"Welcome to the, er, tent, class," Jaskier said, giving his co-teacher a vaguely panicked side-eye.
Yennefer hoped she had managed to adequately convey to the Danger Shop that they did not want the dryads in this particular version of the forest, but honestly, they had bigger problems right now, because she had just looked at the paperwork she had snatched from the office that morning and thus found out what it was they were supposed to be teaching. "Yes, welcome to, um..." Deep breath, Yennefer. "Ba-baking. Class. Baking class." She looked at the papers again. "Bake...off...class. Honestly I think that moose is on something," she muttered to Jaskier.
"It's a show," Jaskier assured her out of the corner of his mouth, trying to smile with confidence to the class. Was it working? Ehhhh. "And apparently we're starting with cakes. Who doesn't love a cake?"
Perhaps someone who did not know how to make the cake?
Yennefer was sure that she could make a cake. If she could make a potion, she could make a cake. But why would she bother when there was a bakery available to do it for her? So. Yes. "Instructions and all necessary supplies should be available at your work station. How hard can it be?"
"So! On your mark, get set..." He was setting her up for something here, but the odds of it working? Slim.
Especially since she had just remembered something. "Oh! After you have baked your cakes, present them to us and explain why you made what you did. And also introduce yourselves to the class so we know who the hell you are." Yes. Very important. "Now you may proceed." Not very catchphrasey, but it would do.

Re: Present Your Bake!
Her cake wasn't burnt or anything, those she had added twice as much ginger as the recipe said.

Which was why she had batter for four different cakes in front of her! None of them were going well.

Re: Bake!
Was it bad for the batter if it sat for a while because the baker had fallen asleep halfway through mixing it? Someone might want to move his arm out of the bowl, at least.
