A Guide to Mechanical Engineering - Thursday, 4th Period

In the space of a week Goose had completely forgotten about his class being on Thursday afternoon’s and remembered that morning he did in fact have class, so he quickly looked through his old notes and found a topic that he had done during the spring for his intro to mechanical engineering class and decided that he could work with that.

“Welcome back,” he said a little sheepishly as he showed up minutes before class started, luckily the practical he was going to have didn’t require a lot materials at all.

“This week we’re going to be experimenting with paper planes,” he announced, which he had done this class a few times but it was at least an easy way to demonstrate fluid mechanics.

Graham was definitely eager to try and think of all sorts of interesting designs for a variety of different planes to test, most of them taking clear inspiration from birds and dragons, and, in the process, has actually gotten quite attached to his paper planes, so it was going to be a little sad when some of them turned out to be not very good fliers at all, but he was going to be sure to let them know that he still thought they were great and that the important thing was that they'd tried.

Alara remembered this project from the class she had taken last year and she also remembered how difficult she had found it to both fold and throw the paper planes and so she was being extra careful this time when she tried to make her planes.

She was mostly successful, she only ended up crushing a few pieces of paper in the process of making her plane and one plane got destroyed in the process of throwing it.

At least it had been a better attempt than last time.

It had been a while since Dwight had made paper airplanes. But after a few tried it was starting to come back to him and each plane he made was going a little farther and farther. It was still nothing too impressive though really.

"I need some paper clips," he muttered to himself as he started on the next one.
