Underwater Basket Weaving and Other Aquatic Arts!; Tuesday, Fourth Period [05/31].

The heat of the day certainly made it an excellent one to get back into the water that week, and it went without saying that Sidon was thrilled by this fact.

Sidon was pretty much thrilled by default, of course, but that was beside the point.

"Hello, everyone!" he bellowed excitedly when everyone arrived at the beach again for another exciting installment of what was surely their favorite class! "I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend! I know I have! And it's about to get even better because we're about to embark on some more amazing aquatic arts! More specifically, the most important art of all: the art of having fun! Today, we shall be engaging in a few aquatic games, which will be an enjoyable way to bolster our swimming abilities! I'll explain the games a little more as we get started, but first? Let's stretch!"

Stretching was very important! And he felt it gave everyone the chance to really get pumped for class!

"And then everybody into the water!"

Perhaps there's not as much warming up to do on a day like this, but get those bodies and limbs all lean and limber, chat it up a little as you do so, or if you'd like Sidon to go over any swimming things (or anything at all, really!), he'll be more than happy to help!

"Our first game," Sidon explained, once everyone was warmed up and ready to go in the water, "is one that is incredibly popular with little Zora hatchlings called Zora Zora! Which means that it is not only a great deal of fun, but it is also nice and simple. Essentially, one person is chosen to be 'It.' That person must close their eyes....and keep them closed!...and counts to ten. Meanwhile, the others will scatter, and when the count is up, the person designated as your fearless Seeker shall try to find them. While they must keep their eyes closed until they manage to snag someone, they can use audio cues by shouting out," and here Sidon filled up his chest so that his shout could be very bold and impressive, "'ZORA!' And the others must respond back with a hearty 'ZORA!' in kind, and the person who is It can then use those shouts to guide their search!

"It's not quite echo-location, but it's the closest thing we've got! Any volunteers to be our first Seeker?"

So, yeah, it's basically a Hyrule version of Marco Polo, because Sidon doesn't even know who TF that is.

Everyone can have a turn at being It if they want, just start a thread with your person being It, and everyone else can go from there!

Here is where the teams come in!

Once everyone's got their spirits and energy up from Zora Zora, it's time to split up into teams and bring out some goal nets and a bright yellow ball, because it's water polo!

Or at least a very light version of it where there aren't many people and it's pretty much just two teams trying to swim around and get the ball in their goals more than the other team, a description of the game that Sidon has given them in no small terms, at all, and includes a significant preamble about the thrill and excitement of racing through the water with the goal in mind and the sheer, pure elation that comes with the victory of a successful goal!

And whatever may happen, the coin flip tells me that Team 1 is victorious in the end!

As much as Sidon would like to have participated himself, he will be acting strictly as referee and keeping an eye out for everyone's safety, especially in the case of the less confident swimmers, but he certainly is available should anyone need to speak with him more directly!

Sparkle smile is canon, dammit.

Boy, Libby was feeling glad that the swimsuit she'd talked to her grandma about getting her had arrived that week, because as awkward as she felt wearing something so short, it would have been far more awkward being out here in anything else she owned! She was trying not to think about it, though, and focused on stretching and warming up and how it wouldn't matter once they were in the water, anyway.

Occasionally, awkwardly pulling on the skirt because she was kept feeling like it really wasn't properly covering anything, even though she knew, as far as swimsuits went, hers was incredibly modest.

Jo had gotten in the water without much difficulty this time, which was actually quite an achievement but the idea of moving around the water with her eyes closed sounded absolutely terrifying.

She stared down at her hands, really hoping that she wouldn't have to be the seeker at all.

The news that Liz had gotten this morning from Shane about the communicator had her a bit more worried and distracted than normal but she was trying to stay focused on warming up and being able to enjoy taking part in class.

This might be a friendly game, but nothing would ever stop Hannibal from being competitive. Even if he had to pretend to be nice about it.
