Mythbusting- Monday- 3rd period

The Danger Shop today was made out to be a giant warehouse of supplies with a workstation for everyone. And there was Kitty, greeting them with, "Hello and welcome to Mythbusting! I'm Kitty Pryde-Barton, and we're going to be doing some science. We're going to take some popular myths and see whether or not they're true. Some of them will be small, and since we're in the Danger Shop where no one can get hurt, some will be ridiculous.

"But we're going to start off easy with introductions, and then I want you to wander around and familiarize yourself with what we have and where it all is. So tell me your name and if there are any experiments that spring to mind to try this semester."

Considering one of the faces in this class this could be interesting for her.

There are a few tall shelves (and a ladder) filled with totally moddable supplies.

Had she looked up astrophysics myths to see if she could adapt them for high school? Of course she had.

My company has the day off, so today feels like Sunday. I'm working from home this week except when I have to go in on Wednesday. Therefore today is Sunday and tomorrow is Wednesday because it's supposed to be Monday.

Makes total sense.

Sounds like me with my work schedule all the time- freelance! You get to set our own schedule except when you don't because your clients are insane psychopaths!

Kurt raised his hand with a somewhat shy smile directed at Kitty as he spoke. "I'm Kurt. Kurt Wagner. And well, I've always enjoyed watching ~~meta~~ MythBusters on TV so, anything like that would be really cool I think. I... I don't really have any specific ones in mind though" he added with a somewhat apologetic shoulder shrug as he glanced at Kitty again.

After the class was over and most of the others had filtered off Kurt held back for a bit.

"Kitty?" he asked a bit timidly as he walked up to her. "Is it really you? I mean... obviously your Kitty... but not the Kitty I know... but I mean...still..."

Damn these time lines and alternate realties. First Illyana knowing him but him not knowing her. Then Dr. Lecter knowing another older version of him from some other time. Now Kitty... his brain hurt just trying to keep it all straight.

"That's me," Kitty said, giving him a somewhat awkward smile. "Welcome to Fandom, this happens a lot."

"Hey," Troy lifted his chin in greeting because he was pretty sure he'd already taken one of Kitty's classes before, and besides, at this point, everyone knew him already, right? "I'm Troy. And isn't there some myth that if you drink Coca-cola with pop rocks," he gestured with his hands, fingers splaying out from a ball, "you explode?"

So, there's a good hint at the sort of myths this one would be interested in busting, Kitty.
