Well, hopefully everyone caught up on sleep for class! Because it was back to the extreme competition that was paintball.

"Welcome back," Tony said, coffee in hand. Because he spent way too long trying to figure out why the alarms all went off before deciding it was just Fandom. "Today we'll be trying something new with traps."

Tony, no.

"No holes," Steve said, like that would make it better.

"There are paint showers throughout the arena for anyone to use, but also for people to avoid." Look, he'd been inspired the other day.

"And traps that will yank you into trees," Steve said, beaming like this was not a terrible, terrible idea. "Have fun!"

Look, they had to do something to up the difficulty here.

Yeah, it did not take long for Troy to find himself in a tree. In fact, it was so not long that if anyone commented on it, he was thinking of saying he did it on purpose.

After all, he would be much harder to shoot while in a tree, right?

....right???

Wanda's strategy was to play defense until it was her alone with a handful of players, then she'd unleash hell. It'd work out pretty well for her today.

Oh no. Traps were new. And traps were not something Stark was prepared for going in to today's class.

It did not take long for Stark to run afoul of one of those traps. If he'd kept quiet when being yanked into a tree by said trap it might have been fine for at least a little longer. He wasn't quiet though. He yelped very loudly when he stepped in the wrong spot, having not been paying enough attention to his right side, and ended up in a tree.

This wasn't going to end well, was it?

Was Steve immediately lining up a shot on Five?

Well, yes. He wasn't the best with the whole non-suicidal inclinations thing.

Was tipping one of the showers with the Force so it doused Stark entirely necessary?

No, it was not. But Anakin was laughing about doing it anyway!

It really was not necessary, no. Stark let out another indignant yelp followed by rather a lot of sputtering. So much paint. Some of it in his mouth.

"ANAKIN! You could have just shot me!"

He could only hope to be avenged by Faye.

Stark would have attempted to knock Anakin into a shower himself if he could have managed it. He really had no room to talk. And yet.

"I noticed," he muttered, rubbing at his face and shaking the resulting paint off his hand. "I think they're meant to be stationary."

Alara was able to get a bit further this week and unlike on Wednesday, she was able to hold on to her paintball gun without breaking it, so she considered that good progress.

Vengeance was totally going to be a thing, yes. Faye had been sticking to cover pretty judiciously, but she had also been keeping an eye on all things Stark and Anakin (let's be real: that was why she was in this class) and thus, was absolutely going to take advantage of the resultant distraction and gloating here.

She ducked swiftly around the very tree Stark was stuck in, flung one arm out and fired a shot straight at Anakin.

"I am awesome." Sucks about the paint, though, guys.
