Paintball couldn't just be a normal game of paintball after all this time. No, instead, it was set up with the same obstacles and hiding spots, but within a roller rink.

"For our last class this session," Steve said, grinning, "we thought we'd up the difficulty again. You guys are getting too good!"

"So. Rollerblades," Tony said proudly. "There's padding and helmets, don't worry."

No, do worry.

Worry a lot. "We're back down to the paint balloons, so those should be easier to use while rollerskating," Steve said.

Or you would trip and fall and cover yourself in paint, which also seemed likely.

"Just remember to have fun." Was that aimed at all the weird rivalries in the class? Yes. Pointedly.

"Anakin," Steve added, crossing his arms over his chest and looking disappointed.

Steve had barely finished admonishing him before Anakin had levitated five paint balloons to drop all over the guy's head.

"Really," Steve said, arching an eyebrow. "This just reinforces our point."

Anakin waved his hand and dropped them all onto him.

"Oops."

Okay, this was a level of weird that Steve should've expected, given the balls they'd been in earlier, but it still took him a second to get his balance up before he could rollerskate effectively.

This was entirely new for Stark. But, for unknowable reasons, he caught on fairly quickly. At least quickly enough that he didn't get hit while falling over initially.

He wasn't fast by any means but he was able to get himself into a decently defendable position.

A distracted Anakin! That was Stark's favorite type of Anakin. That was the only sort of Anakin he could sneak up on.

"Probably shouldn't have done that," he said right before hurling a balloon.

"I did bring you a cupcake. Not to throw."

It might have been for throwing if the RNG had gone differently. Stark would never tell.

"I thought you might like one. They look like paint."

"They are pretty amazing," Anakin admitted. "Thank you."

The possibility did still exist that someone else might throw a cupcake at Anakin's head at a later time.
