Adulting 101- Tuesday- 2nd period

The class was in the Danger Shop today, not because it was really necessary, but because Kitty didn't want to pay money for what they were doing, or deal with what she was left with afterwards.

"By now we've gotten places to live, stocked it with food that you can cook, and now you get to furnish your place. When you're first starting out- or even now, if there's stuff you want to get for your dorms- you might not have a ton of cash, so a cheap way to get things is IKEA. Luckily there's the Isle of IKEA right over there-" She waved vaguely in a direction. "-if you needed. And part of why it's less expensive is because you put it together yourself. So I've got a few pieces of furniture here. Some of it needs two people. Pick one, open up a box, I have tools up here if you really need something besides an allen wrench, let's see what you can do."

I used to have that bed and it took me seven hours to put together because I did it myself when it really needs two people and I didn't realize till I was almost done that I'd put a very important part on upside down.

Would Troy's natural, still undiscovered talent for all things plumbing and HVAC translate into the assemblage of IKEA furniture?

No way. Regular furniture, maybe, but IKEA existed in its own class. Plus, he might have been thinking of attempting to go off-book, so to speak, to see if they could put out something slightly cooler than just these boring old basics.

So he took a moment to look around and see of anyone looked like they would be amenable to such grand schemes or if he should just start tackling it on his own, which he figured would look much manlier, at leastm

Troy looked like he was looking for a partner, so 'Yana walked over and reached for the direction. "It's furniture," she said. "How hard can it be?"

Unlike her player, Illyana had never worked for IKEA, and was about to get a rude awakening.

"Yeah, exactly," Troy agreed, his own eyes scanning over the various pieces of wood before picking up one of the baggies of little bolts with mild curiosity, turning it over in his hand as he examined it. "Looks easy enough..."

He quirked his chin at Illyana.

"What's the first direction say?"

So he could decide why it was wrong and what were they going to do instead.
