Have Portal, Will Travel; Tuesday, Fourth Period [02/09].

When the students arrived in the classroom, not only was their next portal already there and waiting for them, but there was a collection of various different rainboots in all sizes and styles sitting on the front desk, too.

"Sorry about last week, guys," Summer started with a faint, apologetic smile, "but I'm sure Ignis and Prompto did a good job and it sounds like you guys had a good trip to Insomnia and everyone survived, so yay! One of the greatest things about Fandom is that everyone comes from so many different places that you really don't have to dig too deep to find someplace really interesting just through association, which is why this week, we'll be visiting another homeworld of a former Fandom student that maybe some of you had the chance to meet, but don't worry. He is literally the most friendly and enthusiastic person I have ever met. And he's also literally unlike anyone I've ever met, and that's saying a lot.

"His name is Sidon, and he's the prince of the Zora people in a land called Hyrule. Today, we'll be visiting him where he lives, in Zora's Domain. You're free to sort of look around, explore a bit, talk to the various people who live there, and he also has a task for anyone who feels they may be up for it. Since they're an amphibious people, Zora's Domain is very...well...wet, so I do have gollashes for anyone who may not want to get their current shoes wet or go around barefoot.

"So boot up if you'd like, and let's go see a giant shark prince!"

That was all the warning you were going to get about Sidon, yes.

Ready to get wet! Not dirty!

At least if Summer's being relatively vague, that means the place is probably pretty safe, right? Either way, ask questions if you've got 'em before you head on over to a different world and find yourself some cute rainboots, too, while you're at it!

Previous adventures in Hyrule have done a much better job of breaking down the intricacies of the glorious Zora's Domain, but the Zora's Domain portal lands the students at the Ne'ez Yohma shrine, directly underneath the main courtyard. Emerging from the shrine, no only will they find themselves surrounded by Zora's Domain's amazing architecture, all centered around a stunning statue of a young Zora warrior, but also the Laranyu Mountains, where off in the distance, a great mechanical elephant appears to be looming.

There are many Zora milling around who are eager to speak to visitors from Fandom again, as well as an inn, a general store, and a blacksmith's shop. Venture into the grand throne room to speak with the insanely large Zora king, who would come down to say hello if not for the fact that he was actually too big to really move.

When Summer mentioned that Sidon was enthusiastic and friendly, she really wasn't kidding! As soon as they were emerging from the shrine below, he came rushing down from the throne room with open arms and a bright laugh, towering over even his fellow Zora, as he had definitely had a growth spurt or two again since graduating, and he had a bright, cheerful laugh that easily matched his massive size.

"You're here!" he exclaimed happily. "You've made it! Wonderful! And so many new faces among you! Spectacular! Allow me to introduce myself! I am Sidon!" Here, he flashed a grin so bright it caught in the sunlight and flickered a dazzling glint off his fangs, as he pumped an excited fist across his chest. "This Zora Prince! And welcome to my home, Zora's Domain! Please, feel free to look around and explore to your very heart's content! We are all very excited to have you here! I'm sure Summer mentioned that if you'd like something a little more exciting, I have a mission perfect for such capable and adventerous students such as yourself, but for those of you who would merely like to explore the Domain itself, there is plenty to see and do, I am sure of it! And, of course, I am more than willing to answer any of your questions! You know, I am a former student of Fandom High myself! Oh! The stories I could tell you!" He chuckled merrily at the mere thought of the memories. "Though I'm sure you'll be much more interested about this place! Make yourselves at home, please, and do not hesitate at all if there is something you should need in your brief stay with us! It has been far too long since we've had such visitors!"

For those who might be interested in a quest to help out the Zora people, Sidon's demeanor goes very serious and grave for a while with a nod. "We appreciate the help, while we have you," he informed them, gratefulness infusing his voice now where excitement once was. "You see, there is a monsterous beast called a Lynel up on Shatterback Point, who is rather fond of using shock arrows. As one can imagine from our amphibious nature, lightning attacks such as this are extremely dangerous and deadly to the Zora people. However, one of us has been working on building up a resitance to lightning, though he still has much work to do. If those of you who are feeling brave enough and perhaps less prone to shocks as we Zora are could make an attempt to fetch a few of the arrows for our researcher while you're here, it would be much appreciated. And rest assured, you will, of course, be handsomely rewarded for your selfless endeavor, not only in our undying gratitude for your exceptional assisstance, but also in rupees! Fear not, though! The conversion rate of rupees to dollars back in Fandom is quite handsome, indeed!"

Well. He started serious and grave there for a moment, but rather quickly got caught up in the thrill of it all, there, didn't he?

She's trying not to get too distracted by pretty Zora jewelry and is just super glad she realized that, duh, there were a lot of interesting places they could portal into based on fellow alumni alone.

Yeah, Illyana was not going to wear a fashion-challeneged raincoat and boots, thanks. Ew.

"A mari usque ad mare, abyssus abyssum invocat," she muttered under her breath, gesturing with her hands, "--Shield of the Seraphim, de profundis!"

A golden energy field swirled around Illyana for a second, before shrinking down to conform to her body shape and lay just above her clothing. Any water would just slide away from her now, keeping her perfectly dry.

Look, what good was being a sorcerer's apprentice, if you didn't put your lessons to use once in awhile?

Was Ulysses giving her an envious look right now?

Yeah. Yeah, he kind of was.

Yana rolled her eyes. "Gimme your hand, Uly," she said, making 'gimme' hands. "As adorably retro as you'd look in rainboots, I'm willing to share."

Ulysses made an affronted face. "Hey, I look adorable in anything."

That was A) not true and also B) not something he actually aspired to. Also, he was now holding out his hand, yes.

"Suuuuuuuuuuure you do," Yana drawled, reaching out to grasp his hand.

"De profundis," she repeated, her eyes glowing for a moment. The energy flowing over her began to move down over their joined hands, then up his arm and over the rest of his body. Yana waited until it covered him completely before releasing his hand, leaving them both with the faint shimmer of energy protecting them. "Look, now you match your sparkling personality!"

Belle was, admittedly, a bit thrown by the idea of amphibious people. But this would probably be fine. The people that were dogs had been fine, after all. That was what she told herself as she found a pair of cheerfully yellow boots to wear, anyway.

Ulysses wanted to snark back, but he was a little preoccupied with the need to just stare at his arm for a moment, here.

"Okay that is fucking trippy."

There was so much to look at. There seemed to always be so much to look at during this class, which only made sense given the nature of it. The elephant, in particular, kept catching her eye. Belle was doing her best not to gape or stare overly much.

It was after a little while that two red Zora, after conferring with each other and giggling a little, jogged over to greet one of the visitors.

"Hello!" said the one.

"Are you having a good time?" asked the other.

"We're so thrilled to see visitors from Fandom again!"

"Have you met the Prince yet?"

"Isn't he just the best?"

"I'm Tula, by the way!"

"And I'm Tona!"

"What's your name?"

"Oh, hello!" Belle smiled, looking from one Zora to the other and trying to answer their questions in order.

"I am having a good time, thank you. I have not met your prince yet. Should I?" She hadn't thought she would be meeting royalty today though perhaps she ought to simply expect everything might be possible in this class.

"Tula, Tona, it's lovely to meet you. I'm Belle."

"Oh, you simply must meet the prince!" gushed Tona.

"He's so dreamy!" Tula swooned.

"And so brave!"

"He's the most well-traveled Zora in our entire history!"

"And we Zora have been around for a very long time, so it's very impressive!"

"Where are you from, Belle?"

"Oh! I wonder if Prince Sidon has been there, too!"

Belle perked up at the idea of the prince being brave and well-traveled. Someone really had read too many stories of daring adventures over the years.

"Perhaps I will. He does sound impressive." In an intimidating sort of way.

"I'm from the Kingdom of Misthaven which is, I think, quite far away from here. I don't believe any of your people have ever visited." Or maybe she just hadn't ever heard about it. That was possible.

"I mean, it is magic," she pointed out. "'Trippy' sometimes comes with the territory."

"One time I ended up in a dimension where all the leftover psychic energy of its rebirth manifested in gigantic psychedelic animals that looked like cartoons. I really had the munchies after that one."
