Advanced Team Building, Thursday, January 21st - First period

This week, the class was instructed to meet up on the beach where some outdoor space heaters were set up because it was winter and all. There were also some fishing poles and a pair of teachers who might not have been quite as knowledgeable on the subject as they wanted to be.

"Procuring food in a survival situation is one of the most important things you can do. Now that we've covered shelter and fire, it's time to move onto that," Tony said.

Steve nodded. "We've given you two options--you can try your hand at fishing in this cold, cold water, or you try to boil rice over the fire we've set up for you." He helpfully pointed to several large bags of grain on the ground. "Well, only one of those is rice, and you have to sift it to make sure there aren't any...critters...in it."

"Now is also a great time to be thankful for grocery stores and restaurants," Tony chimed in. You know. Helpfully.

Steve grinned. "And bodegas. So. Working together, figure out how to catch and cook five fish and make a pot of rice that is edible."

Well, this was just reminding Wayne of how he might've forgotten just how super soft Rogers and Stark were, at least when it came to this sorta thing (space heaters? Fer fuck's sake!). He'd been ice fishing over in Ky-bec fer as long as he could remember!

But it was still ice fishing, and he was absolutely here for it.

Even if the rice plus the fish now had him thinking he could really go fer some sushis and shashimis...
