Did parents who visited for the weekend ever come drop in on class? Summer's own time as a student here was sort of a blur of parties and pancakes at this point, and her family couldn't have cared less about dropping in on her classes, and she'd been ~~oh-so-handwavily~~ emailing at least one concerned not-really-guardian on Nina's behalf regarding cirriculums (cirriculi?) since last week, so maybe optics were on her mind a little bit more this week, but, yeah, at least the class wouldn't have to worry about anyone on fire in front of their parents and loved ones this time around!

She made no guarantee about the ants, though.

But she did figure somehting like a nice field trip would seem in the realm of the subject matter and offer a nice little Fandom touch because that meant working through portals, which could be novel for any visitors. Hopefully, this class being the early one meant no one would bother, but who knew? Some of these kids were real nerds, and those emails proved that some of their not-quite-guardians were real big nerds, too.

"Okay, everyone!" she greeted the class brightly, gesturing toward the portal she had Portalocity send to the classroom to save time. "It's a field trip day! Today, we're going to one of the multiverse's top plumbus factories, where we can get an inside look at how one of the most well-known and ubiqitous products in my known multiverse, the plumbus, are made! And you can chat with the people who make them and sell them and see how things that make the multidimensional economy really run. So, everyone in through the portal, and we'll get an exclusive tour, and the chance to take home a certified, freshly made plumbus for you and yours when we're finished, too! Let's go! And please, keep your hands and arms and other appendages to yourself. I was told there was an incident with another multidimensional school who had a tour here a few years back, so let's make sure to not be added to that kind of list, okay? Especially not when I'm sure you all want to be in one piece for your visitors, if you've got them."

Field trip day!

At the plumbus factory, the students will be lead through the factor as a helpful guide shows them the complicated process and how a plumbus is made.

"Everyone has a plumbus in their home," the yellow, almost fish-like alien tour guide smiled as he went through his lecture in his cheery tone and walked them through the process. "First, they take the dinglebop, and they smooth it out, with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches. They take the dinglebop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice. Then, a schlammy shows up, and he rubs it. And...spits on it. They cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way. The blamps rub against the chumbles, and the ploobis and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with a regular old plumbis!"

In case you always wondered how a plumbus got made, now you knew.

And now you possibly wished you didn't.

After the tour, the students have the opportunity to ask questions about the factory and the production of the mighty plumbus, attempt to create their own mini-plumbuses, purchase a plumbus for themselves, their friends, or their families, or just sort of gawk because this is your life now, field trips to alien factories where they make really weird shit that apparently everyone should have and has a million unknown uses essential to every day life!

It was either this or the crayon factory, except in a dimension where people were all frogs for no good reason. But, either way, hopefully this is a little less traumatic this week.

She really has a bad gauge on that sort of thing, you guys.

Troy had no idea what a plumbus was or what was going, all he knew was that alien factories were cool and weird, and this was kind of like that one show where things got made, so it was kind of cathartic and relaxing and he dug it.

He didn't come out of it having any better idea or what a plumbus was or did, though...but he did feel that he definitely needed one now.

Nina Argentum

Well, like, Nina wasn’t traumatized by this week’s class?

She was going to blush a delicate shade of pink during the guide on how to make a plumbus though.

Ohmygosh.

Look, she read a lot of trashy, suggestive books and this was... wow, easily just as suggestive.

Eleanor Shellstrop

Yes. Eleanor had seen the plumbus before in one of their earlier classes. And wanted one. But due to the fact it was a simulation and no one would trade for Shrimp Pringles she had failed to get one.

So that's why she was sounding like Nina.

Eleanor was there grabbing a plumbus and ready for payment. She was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet.

But at least she wasn't as loud as Nina like she was before.

And that's one bucket item off the list for Eleanor! YAY!
