"Okay, so," said Summer, with a grin that was maybe slightly less manic that it usually was at this point in the class, and perhaps a little more...apologetic, although, really, not that apologetic. "This week, I thought we'd do something a little different, and, yes, this is mostly because really the only thing we ended up with too much of this week at the store is raspberries, but, like, not even the right raspberries? It's a whole thing, but bottom line, I need to get rid of these raspberries, so, ta-dah! Today we have a featured ingredient, and it's raspberries, and what are you going to do with those raspberries?

"Well, let's open your baskets and find out!"

"So, in addition to having to work raspberries into you dish today," said Summer, "your main ingredients for this week involves..."

She paused dramatically so the students could open up their baskets and have a look inside.

"Prison food."

Yes, she thought she was hilarious.

Yes, Seivarden, this one actually was targeted.

"Your goal, then, is to take the randomized prison meals in your basket and try to turn them into something more palatable and less, you know, prisony. And with raspberries. Please, please use the raspberries."

If there aren't raspberries in there, Summer is going to be super disappointed in you.

She's there! And already thinking about how raspberries will definitely be in her jello shots tomorrow night.

So they featured a sale on organic raspberries this week, but the shipment got messed up, and all we have are conventional raspberries that cost MORE than the organic raspberries would have been on sale, and so no one wants these other raspberries and it's an adventure.
