The Art of Napping; Monday, First Period [07/06].

Anyone signed up for Shunsui's class should have received a notification in one form or another that they would be meeting in the danger shop that week, which appeared to have been set up like a truly expansive pillow and blanket warehouse, save for the center, where there was a small, placid little lake surrounded by blossoming cherry trees, at the center of which was a pillow-strewn pagoda gazebo (because it was the danger shop, so why not?), which is where they would find the instructor waiting for them as he prepared some tea.

"Ohayōgozaimasu, ducklings ♥," he greeted them with his smile already sleepy, because one could argue that he hadn't exactly fully bothered waking up yet because that just seemed like such a waste of energy when one was just going to find themselves napping again, "and welcome to the Art of Napping ♥. Quite possibly one of the most useful and enjoyable arts I know, and it will be my great privledge to impart my many, many years of knowledge to you during this summer session. It is a very short time to spend learning such an art, but it is one that can be easily learned, if you are open to it, and that can be practiced with ease and frequency well beyond the classroom, which I greatly encourage you all to do ♥. But first, please..." He gestured to the space of the pagoda, "have a seat, make yourselves comfortable," if they hadn't already by that point, "and help yourself to a cup of tea. I have made both jasmine and chamomile for you today, both of which are said to have stress-relieving and relaxing effects that may aid in cultivating a good rest ♥."

Alcohol and sake were also very good for that, but this was a class.

...the fact that it was the first class of the morning, however, had no influence on that decision, it should be noted.

"Since it is our very first gathering," he continued, as he poured some of the tea into cups for the students to take, if they so desired, "I figured we could take a few moments while we enjoy our tea, before getting into today's activity," he smiled a bit winkingly at that choice of word, "to introduce ourselves. We can go aroud and share each other's names, perhaps a favorite napping spot, a favorite napping time of day, a little bit about some of your favorite naps, or really anything at all about naps you might like to share with each other. And then, once we all know each other a little bit better, the rest of the class period shall be dedicated to creating your own little private napping spot. That is the reason for all these pillows and blankets and the danger shop today, as I'd hardly want our perfect napping enclaves to be restricted by the confines of reality ♥. But where you nap and how you nap can be very important when one first starts out, and a special little spot to feel comfortable and safe will usually inspire some of the best naps. So, when we are finished with our tea and introductions, go forth and use the danger shop to your full disposal to create yourself a lovely little napping nest, get comfortable, and you'll already be prepared to begin your napping journey ♥."

With that, he took a sip of his tea, seemed to ruminate on it sleepily, and smiled. "I'll begin..."
