Ballet for Beginners; First Period [02/15].].

"Since next week is spring break," said Rosa, not bothering with things like greetings or whatever, because she was sure they all had more important things they'd rather be doing, "I'm not going to bother wasting time teaching you guys new steps that you'll probably just forget about by the time we're back. So enjoy your movie day."

Which was great, right? It made sense, especially since the class was overall unfamiliar with ballet as an art form anyway. It would make sense to spend a class watching one of the many versions of The Nutcracker to get an idea of a full performance. Or a classic Giselle or Romeo and Juliet. Maybe they'd be watching one of the fairy tale ones, Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty?

Nope.

This was, after all, a woman who, when approached to help show a group of kids visiting the precinct on a field trip, decided that the best course of action was to show them the bag of hands in the evidence lock-up. So....

Whatever. Movie day!

Vette settled in, expecting some fluffy feel-good holo about dancers doing their best or something.

And she was treated to that.

The broad grin she was wearing by the end of the movie probably said volumes about what she thought about that. She wasn't a big fan of fluffy, anyway.

That was unexpectedly depressing, but not necessarily bad, although Breq preferred the music. She found herself humming along.

Especially with consideration to the bits and pieces Detective Diaz had been showing them in class thus far, Sidon was a little...surprised by the unexpected turns in which this particular film was leading them. He wasn't sure he particularly enjoyed it; it all seemed to heavy and intense, though he could certainly understand that relentless drive to meet one's goal with perfection...

...then again, his was a disposition prone to pushing oneself, boisterious extremes, and great sacfrices, so...

He was going to try and just focus on the dancing parts, perhaps.
