As usual, class was set up in the normal classroom, which today had measuring tapes at each station and a handout describing how to take measurements.

"Last week I warned that we'd be doing this, and then I thought, why limit you to just making pants?" Brooke began. "First you're going to take your measurements, or you can take each other's if you're comfortable with that, do not be disrespectful, I am watching and you're better than that. Then you're going to pick a pattern of any kind and adjust it to customize it just for you."

It wasn't that Prompto was necessarily uncomfortable with the idea of someone taking his measurements (okay, maybe a little if he really thought about it, but that's why he wasn't thinking about it). It was more that he was uncomfortable with the idea of asking for help, especially with something that seemed pretty simple enough.

Considering how he's somehow managed to keep getting different measurements for the ones he was trying to take, though, it was not nearly as simple as it would appear. Maybe his tape measure was defective.

Prompto found that he liked it much better when they were assigned what to make; when given options, he found it a little too difficult to even choose. He could do a shirt, something more simple, try to find a way to make it more complicated. More pajama pants, he'd liked doing those! Or should he challenge himself with something new that he hadn't tried before? Ugh! Too many choices! And he'd also wanted to do something he might wear, something he could work into his already growing wardrobe of excellent fashion options...

But once he finally came across a pattern for a hooded vest, well...it was like it was meant to be, and he was going to do it black on the outside, lined with some of his blue on the inside...no! Not blue! Red! With some white accents! That way, they'd match his boots!
