Shop Class; Monday, First Period [12/10].

"Morning, class," Amaya greeted them with her usual nod, though her brow was furrowed in a distracted frown as she kept glancing over to the cluster of animatronic snowmen and reindeer clustered around a similarly automaton Santa Claus hanging out and waving at them from over by the lathe machine. She'd noticed them popping up in a few other spots on her way over to the school that morning, and, while she had a plan for today's class already, her own curiosity was starting to get the better of her.

She shook her head, blinked the thoughts back to a pocket of her brain for now, and focused her attention back to the students. "Hard to believe it, but it's our last class. For a lot of classes, this means some sort of final or exam to demonstrate that you've learned something over the course of the semester, but, honestly, the fact that you all managed to come out unscathed without any missing parts," which she felt truly was an accomplishment for some of the class...okay, specifically one member of the class, "is good enough for me. So today, I was going to let you all just have free reign of the shop, make something you'd like to make, preferably in a way to demonstrate what you liked particularly through the semester or, if there's something you've been wanting to do but we didn't get to, or a machine you wanted a hand at, we can take some time to squeeze that in, too.

"But," she added, hitching a thumb over her shoulder to their guests, "then these guys showed up. And I don't know about any of you guys, but it just seems like a waste to have 'em here and not put 'em to use. So I'll still stick with my plan to let you pursue a project of your own liking for the last day here, but I'll offer extra credit to anyone willing to see if they can take on deconstructing the automatons to see how they work, and then trying to put them back together again."

Assuming, of course, they could accomplish it all before they disappeared.

"So let's get to it," she nodded, pounding her fist into her hand, "let me know if you need anything in particular, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with by the end of the class. It's been real nice having you all on board, and I hope you managed to at least learn something you can take with you."
