"Hello again," Fjord said, nodding to the students as they filed into the room. He'd once again brought sashimi, since it seemed as though it had been a welcome addition to the class by at least one of their students. He'd left cookie duty to Carter. "This week we're going to be watching what the office gremlin-" not goblin, making that mistake had led to a twenty minute lecture in gremlish about the differences between goblin mayhem and gremlin mischief, and a stern warning that there would be chompy-bitey in Fjord's future, green or not, if he went and made that same mistake again, "-has assured me is a story that encapsulates the spirit of friendship and influence in a way we all can appreciate."

He really had no idea what that meant, but he was willing to roll with it.

Carter was good at cookie duty, it was true. This week’s offering was sugar cookies decorated like tiny pumpkins and ghosts. He couldn’t resist a holiday. Though he was making note about the sashimi, since that was new to him.

“My apologies for missing class last week,” Carter said earnestly. “I was under the weather.” He’d been near death due to the seasonal flus going about but saying so went against his nature. “This week’s movie is apparently a classic, one that many children view.”

Carter was going to cry over it. He just didn’t know it yet.

Fjord... was not going to cry. That wasn't his style. But he'd be there to manfully pat Carter on the back in a lame attempt at comforting the squishy little man all the same.

"So, help yourselves to some of the snacks, it looks like Carter put some extra care into the cookies this week, and let's see what this movie is about."

And if you had any problems with this heartfelt story about a hound dog and a fox, take it up with Bob the Not Goblin.

Yes, Fjord was, in fact, here if anybody needed him. Sitting back, watching the movie, silently judging half the characters in it.

Eh, he wasn't a pet person.

Prince Sidon

Sidon would be nibbling on one of the cookies out of pure politeness, but he was considering it a challenge that needed to be overcome before he could get to the good stuff in the form of sashimi.

Between this and the rabbit yesterday, he had a sneaking suspicion he was going to regret being so culinarily adventurous, but it was too late now!

Breq

Peebee

Breq did not make a sandwich of the sashimi and the cookies, but enjoed them very much separately.

Breq watched the movie, no expression on her face, while nibbling on raw seafood and cookies. She tried to remember that Valskaayan story that reminded her of this one, in particular the animals in it.

Yeah, no, the sandwich experiment was not one Peebee was going to be repeating any time soon, although she did not in the slightest regret it.

She did feel slightly guilty about eating the cute ghost cookies, though. Just slightly.

Peebee did not cry, although she did let out a few quiet "awwww!"s every so often.

She came way closer to getting sniffly than she was going to admit, though.

It was impossible for Sidon to not be instantly charmed by a movie involving cute animals and themes of friendship and adventure. Impossible! He was easily drawn in from the very beginning, enamored as he was wont to be with any good story that managed to captivate him (which, really, was most stories). But that ending! Oh, that ending got him, though that should hardly be surprising to anyone who knew him, how could he not be just a big sucker for such bold and dramatic acts of sacrifice in the light of a friendship that could withstand the test of time and shifting alliances?

Were there tears shimmering in the large Zora's eyes at numerous points in the movie? Oh, yes, most definitely, very heartfelt and far too emotionally invested tears that he very delicately wipe away with his finger when they chanced to escape. But they also came with a faint, wistful expression, as well, and his chest filled with warmth.

He liked this movie. It was a good movie, yes. But of course he'd think that, because he was just the biggest and squishiest of all shark princes.

Cookies and fish did not go together. But separately they were both good.

It was a sweet movie, Lana supposed. She wasn't entirely sure she bought the whole premise or the actions, but it was interesting.
