All Things Beach- Monday- 1st period

The class was on the beach today, where there were several coolers and a grill and a fold-out table, and you had a teacher who didn't have trauma today.

"Morning, everybody. Hopefully you didn't eat too big a breakfast, because today we're going to talk about beach food," Kitty greeted them. "Sometimes you'll get a beach where you can bring your own grill, sometimes they'll have them there, sometimes you can cook over a bonfire, sometimes you can just bring a cooler of your own food. Also, for the love of god, don't litter. It ends up in the water and everything gets terrible. So I want to hear what you think is good beach food, and then we're going to eat. Everyone gets a turn at the grill, too. There's vegetables if you don't eat meat, it's just a good skill to have."

Was this class mainly because Kitty was hungry? Maybe.

"Well," Sidon couldn't help chuckling a little at the question, "I suspect I wouldn't bring much of anything. Zora almost exclusively eat fish, and fish is much better freshly caught, and we'll be at the beach! It all falls into place nicely."

"Probably something that doesn't involve too much preparation," Norman admitted. "Watermelon sounds like a good start, though, if you're going to be spending a hot day on the beach."

Since most people didn't want to be drinking seawater, and fruit was great for keeping the energy up.

"Grilling," Yang said instantly. "You can do veggies on a separate section than meat, for people who are vegan or vegetarian, and there's grilled fish or burgers for everyone else."

It took Uma awhile to come up with something. She was still pretty new to having good food as an option, never mind the idea of sharing it with other people.

"Stuff to drink," she settled on eventually. "Water, cause you'll get dehydrated from the salt and the sun. Soda, cause it's fun to drink. Maybe juice or something, too?"

Yeah, Uma was just going to stand to the side and try to avoid getting roped into cooking anything for as long as possible. If she made it through the whole class that way, so much the better.
