All Things Beach- Monday- 1st period
The class had gotten an email this morning telling them to meet at the beach, and to wear beach-appropriate things, and also a warning that there was sand that you didn't want in your shoes since it's coarse and gets everywhere.
"Morning!" Kitty greeted them. "My name's Kitty Pryde-Barton, you can call me pretty much any of those names, I don't really care. In this class, if you can even call it that, we're going to do beach things. We'll be meeting out here unless the weather's bad, in which case you'll have a message telling you to go to the Danger Shop, and you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable getting in the water, even if we're not getting in there every week. I know some of you, and not others, so why don't we start by going around and saying who you are and if there's anything you're hoping to get to in the next six weeks. Oh! And if there's something you can't do, like swimming, you should probably let me know but you can do that after class if you want. Okay, let's start here, and then we'll move on to today's activity."
